The „chimney cake“ or „Streezel“ is delicious! Take the normal one with sugar and cinnamon only (6€) - that’s what the locals do. Service atmosphere sometimes too cold.

Son como las chimeneas que hay en Hungría y República Checa aunque a mí me gustan más los de estos dos países. No obstante, están muy ricos, el pan sobretodo.

Despite what they call it (dragon cake), this as Kürtőskalács (or Baumstriezel), a traditional street food from Transylvania that comes from Hungarian roots. The original one is three times the size, about the same price and cooked slowly over an open coal fire. This is a more commercial version and for some reason also includes dairy in the dough, the original doesn't. The original dough isn't as salty either and the sugar is caramelized by the fire, plus it has a smokey flavor from the coals. They serve it with cinnamon and sugar, original would be crushed wallnut sugar and cinnamon so close enough I guess. History appropriation aside, it tasted good, was about 90% cooked inside and had a lot of sugar. It took about 10 minutes to make, you get a wireless buzzer to let you know when it's done, very nice. The staff warned me of how long it takes so no surprise. I like the fact it's made on the spot, the original food is famously easy to get wrong if you buy ones the vendor has packaged instead of having them make you one fresh.

店內只有一個店員而且煙囪捲都現做，所以要稍微等一下，但等待非常值得，煙囪捲皮很脆，帶點微甜非常好吃，而且份量非常大，一個人吃不完的那種，店員也很貼心的提醒旁邊有濕紙巾可以自取，大推！

We planned to go here on Wednesday before leaving Ljubljana. Opening hours stated 11am -7pm so we went at 11.05am but it was not open. we waited for 15 mins then went for a walk around and came back at 11.45 still not open. we went round again and came back at 12.35pm still not open. we gave up . please adjust your opening hours and try to stick to them as people plan their day /holiday around this information.

I had the most basic Baumstrizel they offered: Cinnamon for 8 Euro! Very expensive. At least they prepared it freshly. But: The dough was still raw on the inner side. :(

Delicious chimney cake, lots of sugar so don’t be surprised if it’s hard to finish it but definitely worth it! Took less than 10 minutes to get my order when the shop was empty and everything was made fresh. They put a marshmallow in the bottom of the cone to keep the ice cream from leaking out. Jiana, the lady behind the counter who made my food was absolutely lovely, she even pointed out the wet wipes after handing me my food and they were very much needed. Overall a great experience only downside was there wasn’t a lot of space to sit but luckily the way they package their chimney cakes they are very easy to walk with. It’s a little on the expensive side but as far as Ljubljana goes it’s not too bad and I would say definitely worth the money!

Dragon Street Food, situato a Lubiana, Slovenia, è un luogo che merita cinque stelle senza ombra di dubbio! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 La nostra esperienza al Dragon Street Food qualche mese fa è stata semplicemente straordinaria. L’atmosfera accogliente e il personale gentile ci hanno fatto sentire come a casa. Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di assaporare sia dolci che gelato morbido, e ogni boccone era una delizia. In particolare, il Dragon Fire Bread è stato un vero capolavoro: caldo, fragrante e ben presentato. La varietà di pasticceria dolce ci ha conquistato, e il gelato era cremoso e ricco di sapore. Se desiderate esplorare il cibo di strada a Lubiana, Dragon Street Food è una scelta da considerare. Cinque stelle meritatissime! 🍽️🇸🇮
