This is the starting point of a marked hiking trail through Gorski kotar county. It connects important geological and cultural sites, mainly mountain peaks, making a round-trip covering almost all the county. It first goes along the river Kupa valley and descends all the way to it's spring, then slowly ascends northwest to Čabar and border with Slovenia to turn back south via Risnjak and Bjelolasica to Klek and ultimately back north, ending in Kamačnik canyon. Total distance is around 280 kilometers. Some parts are rarely visited, especially in winter so hikes are sometimes impossible to accomplish. Anyway it offers visiting beautiful places with preserved nature. The rest is up to you to discover!
