This review came almost 1 year late as we keep putting this off, but at our anniversary engagement date we are looking back at our gorgeous engagement photos and can't thank Katja and Simon enough for the amazing job they did. Not only did the photos turn out beautiful, the entire experience was very comfortable and natural. If you are reading this and are looking for a engagement/wedding photographer, we would highly recommend Katja and Simon!

We were so elated when we first saw the pictures and to this day I still marvel at how incredible they are. Absolutely amazing. We were worried about the process before going in but Katja&Simon make you feel completely at ease and comfortable throughout the shoot and the pictures are very "us". They've exceeded our expectations in every way and have a unique feel to the other stuff you can find online - it's remarkable how the pictures manage to capture our essence and how Katja&Simon grasped both ours and Copenhagen's spirit on those shots. We're so happy to have chosen Katja&Simon to register this milestone and I'm sure we'll be cherishing these pictures for years to come. Having them photograph our elopement/wedding was the best decision we could have made and money well spent. Suffices to say I'm still getting compliments from friends&family saying it's some of the coolest pictures they've ever seen. I wouldn't know about that, but for us they definitely are. We were honoured to have Katja and Simon photograph our wedding. My sister cane across their website and we immediately knew we'd found our photographers. It was so easy to communicate with Katja and Simon in the lead up to the wedding and on the day. We had friends and family travelling from all over the world to share our wedding in Prague, Czech Republic and our focus was on spending time with them, not posing for photographs. Katja and Simon were so unobtrusive but took amazing photographs of us and our guests throughout the day that we weren't even aware they were taking. They used the limited time for posed photographs and photos of just the two of us to maximium effect and produced stunning images that exceeded all our expectations! We cherish their beautiful photographs. We were so lucky to have Katja and Simon photograph our wedding: they are extraordinarily talented and are also just so lovely! We were absolutely thrilled when Katja and Simon were willing to shoot our wedding at Santa Barbara Beach on the island of Ponta Delgada. The pictures we saw in their portfolio were stunning and we really couldn’t believe our luck. Meeting them via skype, we came to fully understand their love for their art and what wonderful, talented people they are. We thought we would be impressed, but we were totally blown away by their presence and their ability to help calm our nerves on the big day. Their stoicism and empathy the day of when everything seemed to be going wrong was exactly what we needed. Pictures that tell stories... We engaged Katja & Simon to capture our wedding this summer and couldn't recommend them highly enough. We had seen their work online and were immediately drawn by their ability to combine emotions with artistic beauty. Being a couple, the two ideally complement each other in styles and perspectives which allows for a much more varied book. And obviously, four eyes see more than two. So when we received our slideshow and pictures, it wasn't just reliving the big memories; there were so many little stories and emotions we had not been aware of, that have now come to life in the most beautiful, colourful ways. But beyond their photographic work, we also want to thank Katja & Simon for all their support pre and post our weekend. Given the amount of planning and coordination that goes into any wedding, their fast response times as well as flexibility were a blessing. great service, great price. Katja and Simon were recommended by Petra (wedding planner) They were really easy to work with, i liked that Katja came to do shots before church ceremony to me and Simon went to see my husband, i felt very comfortable getting ready, dressed etc in front of the girl. I felt like they were invisible on the day yet they capture our day beautifly, we didnt feel like we are in front of the camera all the time ( which was perfect).Katja and Simon would come and get us when the lighting was perfect for photos, they really thought about everything. slide show that we received was amazing, and the music that came with it was just perfect. Advice to all future brides and grooms: Invest in GOOD wedding photographers. Skimping on wedding photographers is not a good idea, since the wedding day goes by so quickly, you don't have time to really enjoy it all. After the whirl of wedding shenanigans is over, all you have are photos. And after my husband came back from our honeymoon, we were greeted with a beautiful slideshow from Katja and Simon. It really threw us back to the wedding and helped us relive the day. Katja and Simon were great to work with. They put us at ease in front of the camera and during the wedding day, they were so discrete in taking photos that everyone was able to be captured candidly in their photos. They are also prompt in communicating with us via email or WhatsApp. Without a doubt, they are photographers that I would gladly recommend to my friends. The photos are perfect and I'm so glad that we have them to look back to forever!

When we started planning our wedding, we didn’t know how hard it would be to do everything on our own. We thought it would be really simple; find a place, find a good resort and find a photographer that is it, but it wasn’t till we found them. We had 6 months to plan and I contacted Katja and Simon at the beginning of the planning process. I accidentally landed on their website one day while I was looking for a wedding photographer who can travel to Myanmar to shoot our wedding. We were captivated by their beautiful photographs. Their style was different from everyone that we were contacting and that we were used to. At the beginning, we were weren't if their style would be suitable for an Indian wedding. We expressed our fears with them and they assured us that this would work. And it indeed did. They captured our wedding in the most beautiful way possible. They made it look like a fairy tale. They not only captured all those beautiful memories but all emotions and love. When we look at our wedding all we see is how happy everyone is and that is only possible because of Katja and Simon. They are not only great photographers but, good people. Very accommodating, professional and friendly. Hiring them was one of the best decisions we’ve made for our wedding. I highly recommend them without any second thoughts because they will never disappoint you.

When we first started searching for our wedding photographers, we really wanted someone able to capture the moment as it is, pure and simple, but in a unique way. Izbira poročnega fotografa, ki bo ovekovečil najin dan, se nama je zdela ena najbolj zahtevnih faz poročnih priprav. Najti ustreznega fotografa, ki bo znal zajeti atmosfero, ujeti pravi trenutek in spontane dogodke in jih združiti v čudovito celoto, se nama je na začetku zdelo skorajda nemogoče. Dokler nisva v poročni reviji zagledala čudovite poročne zgodbe, pod katero sta se podpisala Katja in Simon. Ob vpogledu v njuno delo, ki mu sama praviva kar umetnost, sva vedela, da bi se njima z veseljem prepustila. Najin občutek o tem, da sva se odločila prav, je potrdilo prvo srečanje, ko sva ob sproščenemu klepetu izrazila svoje želje in pričakovanja. Katja in Simon imata izvrstne ideje, kako iz manj narediti več. Ker sama ljubiva estetiko in prisegava na minimalizem, sva želela, da se to odraža tudi na najinih fotografijah. Vse najine skrbi, ki so bile prisotne okoli fotografije (nisva ravno vajena fotografskega poziranja), so se na poročni dan razblinile. Katja in Simon sta pri svojem delu diskretna, skorajda neopazna in midva sva se počutila kot na prvem zmenku. Malo sramežljivo, malo spogledljivo in predvsem neprestano nasmejano! Dear Katja & Simon, It was hard to find a photographer who would match our desires and conditions. Already we were asking ourselves could it be so hard to find a good photographer or are we just too complicated and demanding? We just wanted the atypical, non conventional and authentic photos taken in the moments which would present us like we really are. To find a perfect photographer, to catch the very best moments in an important event, is a hard task. We looked through many portfolios to find ones we liked. Katja & Simons pictures left us in awe. Every wedding has a story. We wanted a simple, romantic, vintage inspired wedding in the circle of our family and close friends and in the home environment where we feel cozy. The main venue was in the castle cortyard which has a special atmoshere by itself. When we look at the photos, we feel like we are there again. We can hear the voices of our loved ones, hear the music from the signers, smell the flowers and feel each others hands. Each photo has a soul. They are simply magicial. Simon and Katja did their work so perfectly that it took us time to pick the right words to really describe out satisfaction. This will read like a love story but every word of it is true. From the first meeting with them we were sure they will be a part of our special day. They were so easy going and nice that we felt an instant connection between us. Connection that is oh so important on your special day. Photo shooting before the wedding just proved us that we made the right decision. We had so much fun at Ljubljana castle and we let ourselves be us in front of their camera. We took our Grizli with us and Simon and Katja had so many great ideas for the photos and made it so easy for us to feel relaxed. Lovely, lovely photos. On the day of the wedding – there’s just not a word that would fully describe how they did their work – perfect is not enough. They were with us the whole day and they just knew how to handle every situation, our guests loved them and we just won’t forget the cute scene when Katja was taking lovely pictures of us and we saw Simon photographing our two grandmas which had been sitting on the bench with their yellow sunglasses. He took the first photo, it was ok but he just got another idea, so out of nowhere he brought our big frame and took another photo of them and they just laughed … They really know how to interact with people, the little ones, the cute ones, the grumpy ones, the old ones, the newly married ones… every ones. The package we got afterward was also outstanding and a biiiig surprise for us, nice wooden box with our album and other little things, like our framed picture and a key, which meant the world to us. We absolutely adore all photos of our wedding and wouldn’t think for a second about recommending Simon and Katja to someone who is looking for a wedding photographer. Scratch that, not just to future newlyweds but to everyone who is looking for a photographer. Actually we are saying how great they are to anyone who is willing to listen to us. Simon and Katja, once again thank you for being a great part of our wedding. Every time we look at our wedding photographs it feels like we get to taste a piece of our wedding again. Katja, thank you for that! Katja was a really discreet photographer. Apart from coming, taking a few portraits and going home we have no idea what she was doing. It is unbelievable to us that we nevertheless have pictures of every little detail of our wedding day :) Katja really made sure the wedding was only ours. She was the invisible paparazzi who took pictures of everything that happened. It is beyond out comprehension how someone could be so discreet and still capture something that intimate It’s really not about remembering what you wore, who came and what someone did. What Katja captured in our photographs were settings, emotions and reactions. Having such photographs gives us the opportunity to relive our special moments and we are incredibly thankful for that. Memories are basically all you’re left with after a wedding. The decision to have Katja and Simon make our memories eternal is the best decision we could make.
