There were two lines, they kept moving, we waited 10 minutes, the border guard was quick, asked him about vignette and he directed me over to the toilet area where there was a van selling them. Bought one for 15E. Couldn’t use the toilet though, no coins, how silly.

They stopped me and gave me a fine of 180 euros because I didn't buy vignette.In the same time they were asking for vignette the local drivers from Slovenia and they didn't buy as well but no fine to them. It's a shame that the laws in Slovenia is only for the foreigners they are passing their country.

Waited for 45 minutes few days ago coming by car, more than one hour today by bus... In the times crossing the iron curtain was definitely faster, it seems that with EU we came back 30 years, why?!? Update: I then crossed several time the border during the last year, and each single time it took half an our or more! On the Croatian side it's usually fast, but on the Slovinia side it takes ages on both ways.. I think they are very very understaffed...

Quick line. I'm not European. I entered Croatia with a schengen visa. They didn't make any problem, a quick check on the passport and then stamp. No check inside the car either
