This is a lovely rural place with very welcoming hosts. We stayed here for just one night on our way from Venice to Lake Bohinj. Unfortunately our flight was delayed so we arrived very late at night. The owners stayed up for us and were lovely despite the inconvenience of our post-midnight arrival. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean, with it's own kitchenette. The breakfast was very good, and again the hosts were lovely and very hospitable. Would definitely recommend if you want a quiet and peaceful place to stay in lovely Slovenia.

We were actually only at this property for a few hours as we arrived in the evening then had to leave before 6am the following morning to go to the airport. Nothing was too much trouble though for Michael, the owner's son, who looked after us during his parent's absence. He greeted us with a great big smile like we were long lost friends and couldn't do enough for us including bringing us a welcome drink of a small jug of wine each (delicious!). The property itself was stunning, the interior was truly amazing and looked just like the pictures on booking.com (which is why we booked it in the first place). Our room wasn't massive but it was big enough for for us and would be fine for several days stay and had a fridge, air conditioning, plenty of sockets, good wifi and lots of storage. The double bed was comfortable and the whole place was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was well laid out and the shower had plenty of hot water with a good water pressure. By far and away the best feature of the room though was the huge covered balcony overlooking the back garden, there was a table and comfy chairs out there and it would be a perfect place to sit and enjoy a summer evening. Just wish we could have been there in daylight as what we could see of the garden looked lovely. The area was calm and peaceful and there was total silence at night. It is only 10 minutes from the highway and was easy enough for us to find, but then we had checked the route beforehand. As another reviewer said, there are no road names but there are small "Rooms Leban" signs at the junctions so watch out for them. It is a little way from the village of Šempas and would be difficult to access without a car. There is plenty to do in the nearby area and it is very close to Nova Goricia, Gorizia and the border with Italy; it would be an excellent base to explore the area. We definitely want to return to this part of Slovenia and when we do we will here again for sure.

We stopped in without a reservation (it appeared they had a room on booking.com). They had just the apartment left for the night; there were two of us but the apartment was very affordable (by American standards) and the hosts were very welcoming so we decided to stay. They offered a welcome drink but we really needed dinner first, so we went to the local pizzeria upon their recommendation (Gostinstvo Grad Spacapan - also fabulous). After a lovely dinner, we returned and got settled in and were given some lovely local wines on the back patio. Breakfast the next morning was also exceptional. All in all, a really nice experience. The owners are incredibly gracious and inviting. We were very pleased & lucky to have happened upon such a nice spot.
