My wife and I, together with two very dear friends, had the delightful pleasure last week of a guided tour and tasting of both the exquisite olive oil and wine at the Ipša estate, in Istria, courtesy of our stellar host, Damir. The vista from the hilltop estate is simply spectacular, as is the stately, yet unassuming ambiance of the estate itself. Damir’s explanation of the processes for the production of both olive oil and wine was simply enthralling. And to top it all off, the chance to savor their olive oil, wine, charcuterie, relishes, and homemade bread was an utterly priceless experience. Having visited quite a few wine estates in both the Napa and Sonoma Valleys, Alsace, Languedoc, Burgundy, Rheinland-Pfalz, and Baden-Württemberg, we can attest to this being an incomparable experience. Bravo to the Ipša Family and their loyal staff, who are without pretense, or any aggressive, money-grubbing approach to their enterprise: they are the embodiment of geniality, passion, and professionalism. Geweldige olijfolie tour en proeverij gehad! De jongeman sprak uitstekend Engels en wist alles te vertellen over zowel de olijfolie als wijn die ze daar produceren. Zou het zeker aanraden!

Odlična degustacija vina i ulja. Vina su (orange stil) kompleksna i dugotrajnog okusa. Plate su obilne domaćim proizvodima, kombinacija marmelade od žižula i zrelog sira sa malvazijom Santa Elena su moja preporuka. Damir je pažljiv i susretljiv domaćin, zaista sve pohvale!

Romantic, quiet and welcoming atmosphere. What a gem. We had a wine and olive oiltasting with delicious snacks, home made ombolo and pancetta, cheese, jams and more. The wine and oil is of high standard and so was also the tasting, it was a perfect guiding and we learned a lot.

Die neuen Räumlichkeiten zum Verkosten, die Sitzmöglichkeiten im Schatten und der neue Parkplatz heben den Herkunftsort des vielleicht besten istrischen Olivenöls jetzt auch auf das Niveau seiner Produkte. Wir kommen seit 2013 immer wieder, haben während Covid bestellt und werden Ipsa weiterhin treu bleiben.

Amazing experience! The people at Ipša are absolutely incredible, very knowledgeable and so hospitable. The olive oil tasting is incredible, it was the best olive oil I have ever tasted. It is paired perfectly with delicious regional food and wonderful wine. It’s truly spectacular that they do olive oil, wine and food all at the exceptional level that they do. The views are breathtaking. A tasting at Ipša is perfect way to experience Istria.

Absolutely a wonderful experience! We highly recommend this outing. The wines were very nice and the olive oils were delicious! The entire experience felt like we were in our own little World on top of the hill overlooking the most stunning landscape! Our guide was very knowledgeable and so pleasant! Take the time to drive out and spend a few hours with this lovely little gem, you won’t be disappointed!

Stopped here as part of an all day tour in Istria. Learned how olive oil was made, and had quite a few snacks along with some of their home made wine. Definitely a place to visit

Sehr schönes Ambiente, wortwörtlich „ausgezeichnete“ Öle und Weine. Die Verkostung war in sehr angenehmer Atmosphäre und die Häppchen waren vorzüglich 😋 Das war ein wirklich gelungenes Ereignis
