I’d spent the morning walking around Lake Bled and was starving by the time I got back to Ljubljana. Olimpija was just around the corner from my hotel so I dropped in to get a slice of burek. For €3, you can’t go wrong. It was piping hot with crispy pastry and delicious filling

Nice cheap and easy simple food - €3 for each Burek! Hearty fillings compared to other Bureks we tried. Eat quickly before the pastry gets soft from condensation. We tried pizza, meat and the apple fillings - favourite was the meat.

First time trying a Burek and it was worth the wait. I went with the minced meat option and had it for breakfast. The meat filling tasted great and the filo pastry was flakey. Amazing for 3 euros, can't go wrong! Look forward to trying it again :-)
