We chose the 6 course tasting menu at TaBar and it was fantastic! The food was presented beautifully and explained with care, as well as tasting delicious. The wine pairing alongside this was excellently matched and enhanced the whole experience. The quality was exceptional and quantity was perfect for the number of courses presented. The atmosphere was also lovely and it felt refined but not pretentious. Our servers Andraž and Aida were knowledgable, friendly and really took us on a journey from course to course. It was a brilliant opportunity to taste a range of food and wine and we also learnt a lot about Ljubljana. Would highly recommend.

Great food and a huge selection of local wine. Prices are a bit high but worth it for the quality of the meal. Great attention from the kitchen to my wife's food allergies, not always like that.

The restaurant has obviously evolved from a normal tapas bar into something special. The 6 or 9 course ‘taster menu’ is easily fine dining with each course a match for anything we have experienced in fine dining restaurants in the UK. The menu is not really descriptive and does not do the dishes the justice they deserve. Here they celebrate good solid taste and flavours and they enhance them to a level we have not experienced before. The strength of the parmesan foam with the cherry tomatoes, the sweet jell which only slightly softened the grilled cheese, and a celery sorbet which was an ideal and original pallet cleanser. Joy! The service was excellent and our waiter was very knowledgeable about the food and also provided a personalised wine flight to compliment the dishes using local wines. The restaurant is about to move to new premises separating a fine dining area from the bar, very much part of their continued evolution, so the current premises lacked some atmosphere. Highly recommended - go with an open mind.

Great service, great food, very creative and crafted on the point. Awesome winelist! All from Slowenia! Also the very professional, friendly waitress ( blonde, well spoken English) from Croatia gave us a tip to go to brela, where we are staying now. Please tell her that it is the best tip we had so far!

Incredible dinner experience, highly recommend. My friend and I split the six course tasting, and even though we had no clue what we were getting, we loved every bite and portions were slightly larger than we've seen at similar types of restaurants. Our waiter was excellent and explained every dish in detail, while being able to accommodate allergies and providing numerous wine recommendations from the extensive local wine list, all of which we enjoyed. Plus, we loved being able to sit outside on a beautiful night. The restaurant was tucked away and totally unassuming (without a local recommendation, we may have never seen it) but offered one of the best meals I've had in a long time!

Obwohl fast alle Tische unbesetzt waren, bestand das Personal darauf, dass man nur ein Glas Wein trinken kann wenn man auch essen bestellt. Nur ein Glas Wein trinken ist hier nicht möglich. Auch wenn das Restaurant leer ist.

This place is going after a Michelin star. They are almost there. Fabulous food, local ingredients, bold flavors, using some fermentation with a lighter touch. Great meal.

Wir haben das 6-Gänge Menü gegessen. Es war ganz wundervoll, das Essen war sehr lecker, der Kellner absolut aufmerksam ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Eine perfekte Mischung. Uns wurde eine Art kleiner Orangewein-Weinprobe angeboten mit 4 halben Gläsern zum Preis von 2. Das war Fabelhaft. Von der Präsentation der Speisen bis hin zu den Löffeln der Nachspeise war alles brilliant. Unser Kellner Franci hat einen wunderbaren Job gemacht. Großes Kompliment.

Food is delicious, tasty, gourmet and well-presented and so is the wine (wide choice of natural wines). However I have to say that the service is pretty bad, the waitress was very kind and professional but the plates were definitely served too fast. We chose the six-course tasting menu (€75) and we barely had the time to finish one plate that the next one was served. In an hour we had already finished our dinner. Is that a fast food chain or a restaurant? We called to ask if it was ok to come at 9 p.m. and they said that it was perfectly fine, next time could be better say no if it's considered too late. We paid €100 and could not really enjoy our meal because, as said before, the courses were served like Speedy Gonzales. The location inside is nothing special but we ate outside in a cozy and quiet square just next to the river.

Ordino tra le "tapas" (???) fredde quella "insalata, zucchine e pancetta" 15€. Dopo quasi mezz'ora ricevo quanto nella foto, vicino alla forchetta. 5cm × 2cm descritti orgogliosamente dal caposervizio come: insalata di FIORI (assenti nella descrizione sul menu), un intermezzo di majonese all'aglio (assente nella descrizione sul menu. Non piacendomi la maionese avrei scelto altro), pancetta (invisibile) e UNA ZUCCHINA (una?). Il tutto completato da un liquido composto da aceto balsamico ed estratto di zucca che viene versato con enfasi nel momento stesso in cui ne vengono descritti gli ingredienti (ancora una volta, non mi piace l'aceto balsamico e non mi è stato dato il tempo di impedirne l'aggiunta). A parte - come da foto - un composto di cui sto cercando di rimuovere dalla mente il colore. Pane a parte 4€ (mi aspettavo le tapas lo prevedessero) e burro nella foto 3×4€.

Only in Ljubljana for one night and this meal was an excellent choice. Huge selection of local natural and orange wines, which were well selected by the staff. Went for the 6 course menu and glad we did! The long spoons for the dessert course were unique.

At summertime only outside tables are used. Didn't know that when made my reservation. Food was excellent.

Excellente adresse, la cuisine y est très juste, sublime des produits d'exception, le service très agréable et l'accord avec le vin parfait. Bravo et merci depuis la France !
