Exceptional service and food!! If you’re in Ljbuljana and want a dining experience that will blow you away, look no further than TaBar. An overall wonderful experience. Starting with the location in a little courtyard removed just a stone‘s throw away from the busy river cafés, quiet enough to enjoy the spectacle in the distance. Detail oriented food and some of the best service we‘ve had to date - obviously courting our experience with the most exquisite wine accompaniment, opening our hearts even more to this great, young country with age old traditions. As a cherry on top, this is a fine dining experience focussing on what matters without the pretend, allowing for t-shirts and our dog to join us. 5 Stars hands down!

Food was super in terms of taste, and the service was enjoyable. I could ask a lot of questions from the servers and they gave professional answers and good accomodation. The only reason it got 4⭐ was because I felt the dishes were a little small for me. Otherwise everything was superb.

After about a year we had dinner at TaBar, again. Completely new menu (short, their trademark) and new waiters. The wine selection remains very broad with focus on bio/eco/natural winemakers, incl. lots of orange wines. We had a 6-plate (75€) and a 9-plate (100€) menu, which is a drastic increase in price compared to last time we dined here. The food bacome noticeably more fancy and really packed a punch with all the heavy flavours presented on the plate (which I like!). But it lacked elegance and refinement. Some items were great (e.g. artichoke, lamb, goat), some were merely good or okay. Definitelly a downgrade in the food quality from the last visit. Service was too friendly and relaxed, but perhaps they just need a bit more mileage. An underwhelming dinner for about 200€, definitelly not worth it. Will not come again for a while.

I expected more from a Michelin restaurant. My friend and I had the six-course menu here yesterday. The food was nice, but for the price we paid, I expected a higher level of quality. The portions were super small, and for 80 euros per person, I believe you should leave the restaurant feeling full. The real embarrassing thing was the toilets - they looked like gas station toilets and smelled even worse. However, the service was great.

Rude and arrogant waiterS (both of them)! The restaurant was nearly empty and they told us everything was booked - well, it wasn‘t and sadly we got a table in the end.. Food was ok but really not worth the price! We had a way cheaper and better prosciutto plate around the corner next to the river..

We went in TaBar for the “restaurant week” event and we were DELIGHTED with it. Food was highest quality, vine excellent but the best of all was service. Wonderful guy serviced us and he so much improved our experience. He was so knowledgeable, fluent in English and his personality made our day. We are definitely going back to the restaurant and hopefully will have the similar experience again

Phenomenal service, wine list that caters to everyone and great food. TaBar is impressive. We had the 6 course menu with some glasses of wine. While I expect food at such high prices to be delicious (and it was), I was pleasantly surprised by how well informed the sommelier was as well. He knew his wines, and his customers. We felt absolutely at ease and had a splendid dinner with some great local wines to go along Recommended to anyone looking for an indulgent dinner in Ljubljana.

Neprimeren odnos osebja, slaba hrana, niso imeli nič od tega kar sva želeli naročiti, a tega niso priznali in nama le ponujali druge opcije, ki so bile veliko slabše od željenega.
