One of the best culinary experiences. The service was impeccable, the ambient was cozy and elegant. The food was amazing. Vuk and Rok have an amazing energy in presenting it and their energy reflects on the taste of the dishes The experience As we sat down we were presented with some amazing plates of appetisers. Tuna and beef tartar made with a modern twist. After we were presented fig jam filled ravioli with Pecorino Romano and mushrooms. The balance between sweet and salty was out of this world. The main dish was duck leg with real French mashed potatoes (yes, the ones made with a 1 to 1 ratio between butter and potatoes). Just amazing, the duck fat and sauce really brought the whole meal together. For dessert, the most classical of tiramisu (this is my favourite dessert and they make it just like my nonna. Loved it) Everything was smartly accompanied by Vuk's wine combinations that really paired amazingly with every dish. This is fine dining as it should be, a combination of amouse bouche and classical service. Everything was 5/5

Experience at Birdie was really amazing. I love their concept of sharing plates with others. They serve local food on a higher level and it’s very tasty. The waiter who served us was a true professional. They also have great wine and in general drink selection. Absolutely recommend

One of those "just come in and we will serve you amazing food" kind of restaurants. The only decision you have to make is between still or sparkling water. For wine parings Vuk has all the right suggestions, and for food Rok is a true master. Just come in and enjoy 🤤

Simple, yet complex. Different, while somehow familiar. Comforting, but without any unnecessary décor. Proper ingredients with mouth-watering aesthetics. I've been waiting for the perfect occasion to visit Birdie Foodielab, ever since I overheard Tom Jaki at one of my favourite pasta places in Ljubljana, that he's working on something special. I think it was November. I got so excited about what he, Vuk Greganović and Rok Stubičar were up to, that I didn’t even feel bad for eavesdropping. It took me a while to get a spot, I admit, but it was worth it. My friend and I visited Birdie a couple of weeks ago and despite high expectations, they delivered. I enjoyed every minute and every bite of the experience and can't wait to be back for more. Thank you. EDIT: A few months later, still amazing. EDIT2: After a number of visits, Birdie and it's team goes above and beyond. If I'm ever asked to pick my last/final meal, this is it. Perfection.

In Ljubljana, I discovered a truly remarkable restaurant. With its minimalistic decor and cozy atmosphere, it creates a wonderful dining experience. The outstanding food, bursting with flavors, colors, and textures, left me thinking, "This is a special place." What sets it apart is that the chefs themselves bring out the dishes, showcasing their pride and love. It's a truly exceptional experience that captures culinary excellence and leaves a lasting impression.

with a set menu that offers a range of appetizers and small courses, a main course and dessert - and a menu that changes almost on a weekly basis - Birdie offers an interesting experience of culinary delight. there's of course Slovenian touch to the dishes, but also inspiration from Mediterranean and Asian parts of the world. most dishes are well prepared and tasty, seasoned correctly and served elegantly. wine selection is extensive and has something for everyone's liking. one of those restaurants that you'd never come back disappointed or hungry. if you are one of those who's traveled and had great food experiences, you might not be blown away though. service is polite, attentive, friendly. in one of our last outings, asking if we'd like a second serving of the creme brulee was a nice touch! menu is priced at EUR 50 per person, without drinks.

Wow.. this palm presented us (married couple) with an exceptional experience of love, delight and joy. Food, service, ideas, wine, atmosphere — all was top notch. Guys are changing menu weekly — so no need to share our menu. I will say this. If I lived in Ljubljana, I would visit weekly to try out what these happy three friends (owners) have created for us.

Apart from the food which was divine, the staff was incredibly nice. You could see they took their time when explaining wines and food, always adding a bit of humor. They really made eating at Birdie an unforgettable experience. Definitely coming back again.
