We were on the ‘teden restavracij’ event and we were disappointed. That was our second time in this restaurant and the food was not good and it was low quality. You would not expect from Michelin recommendations restaurant. The soup was descent but risotto I got was not cooked and without any taste. Roast beef was not even roast beef and it was gummy, we could not eat. At the beginning the wife of the owner was so annoyed with us coming at the end of the event and not really friendly at all and she reluctantly gave us empty table that had to be cleaned. We think she was overwhelmed and tired of people coming for restaurant week, but we cannot help with that. Rather do not participate in such an event then give so bad service

S partnerko sva imela rezervacijo v nedeljo. Ambient odličen, hrana odlična, zaposleni zelo prijazni. Imela sva štiri hodni meni (ribe) in moram reči, da sva bila nad vsem jedmi zelo zadovoljna. Imela sva tudi za toplo predjed rižoto, vendar sem pozabil slikati. Vse pohvale še enkrat. Se še vrneva 🙂

Zelo dobra hrana, izjemna ponudba vin, zelo lep vrt. Izjemna gostilna z dolgo tradicijo. Vinska karta je izjemna. Na voljo tudi vinska raritete. Nujen postanek.

Vzeli smo sedemhodni meni, kar je bilo malo naporno, ampak smo se potrudili. Všeč nam je bilo, da smo imeli svojo sobo, ker smo imeli s seboj dojenčka. Prijazno osebje, ki je razložilo vsak hod posebej.

This place is proof that great restaurants can operate away from the big cities. And it's also quite an asset. A very pleasant place. Nice, unobtrusive service. No artificial pomp and artificial politeness. Nice and professional. The place is elegant but not overwhelming. Food very tasty. I had the pleasure of experiencing the tasting menu. Very interesting, varied, tasty. Very interestingly inspired by local cuisine, which is a very interesting experience for the guest. Congratulations to the owners as well as the Chef, cooks and waiters 👏

Well…. Not sure how Danilo got their Michelin star! We had their 3 course and 4 course meal. Sorry….I didn’t think they worth the 1 Michelin star. Let talk about the dishes. We got some kind of little starter eg cheese lollipops and breads. Well…the cheese lollipops was not so fresh because they were not crispy anymore when we ate and the bread was quite cold. Then we had the parsley risotto with shrimp…wow the chef must have lost his taste buds. The shrimps just far too much salt just doesn’t taste anything but salt. The risotto was too str with shrimp broth. Everything was over powered. Come on… you wasted the ingredients in my opinion. Then we had the duck breast and I think this was one of the worst dish with the worst combination ever! Celery root mesh just doesn’t go well with duck and some funny brown duck sauce, and the plum chutney. The worst was mesh celery root very powdery texture feel like eating glue, the sauce wow…speechless what is that??? The chutney was the best part. The sea bass was great because this was the only dish my daughter ate. The green mesh was good but not sure the vegetables (Pok Choi). Tiramisu was the best dish of the day! And this was the only dish I would happily pay for! The lunch was the worst Michelin restaurant we have been so far! My personal opinion for the chef. Trying too much not necessarily a good thing unless you are sure, over complicated dishes confused people. Good ingredients should be able to speak for itself! I would be more than happy to pay if the foods were good! But I wasn’t a happy customer! My honest opinion!

Amazing food and service! Every course was incredible and loved trying some traditional Slovenian food with a modern twist. If you have the chance to go, definitely do it! Great wine pairings too
