This is such an amazing restaurant concept. The servers are those with special needs and the food is very good. Everything and everyone was wonderful about the experience. It is clean, cozy and friendly. They have a few good food options each day as well as alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. The prices are very reasonable and it is located in a beautiful street in the center.

I recently dined at Druga Violina with a group of friends, and it was an unforgettable experience. This charming restaurant, nestled in the heart of Ljubljana's old town, offers not only a warm and welcoming atmosphere but also a true taste of traditional Slovenian cuisine. I had the pleasure of trying the Ljubljanan goulash, and I must say, it was exceptional. The goulash was rich and flavorful, with tender chunks of beef simmered to perfection in a hearty, paprika-infused sauce. The depth of flavor was impressive, with just the right balance of spices that made each bite incredibly satisfying. It was served with a side of soft, comforting polenta, which paired perfectly with the robust goulash. We also shared some fish fillets, and they were equally delightful. The fillets were lightly breaded and pan-fried to a golden crisp, with the fish inside remaining moist and flaky. The dish was accompanied by a fresh, tangy salad that complemented the fish beautifully. The flavors were simple yet expertly executed, showcasing the quality of the ingredients. What made our visit even more special was the kindness of the employees. Every staff member we encountered was genuinely friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. Their dedication to providing excellent service, combined with the restaurant's mission to support and integrate people with disabilities into the workforce, added a meaningful touch to our dining experience. Overall, Druga Violina is a must-visit in Ljubljana, whether you're a local or a tourist. Lovely idea to provide means of employment for those with mental disabilities whilst also serving great food! A point of improvement - we thought the pasta could probably have had a bit more seasoning. We had the carniolan sausage and the truffle pasta. Left satisfied!

Good Slovenia food with affordable price. The dish with potatoes and sausage was great. The veggies soup was average. The cottage cheese dumplings were also yummy. Unique staff , love the concept.

Moram podržati ovaj lokal u centru Ljubljane u kojem poslužuju osobe s manjim poteškoćama što je istaknuto na cjeniku pa se i narucivanje vrši zaokruživanjem na listiću. Ali oni to rade jako dobro. Hrana je obilata, ukusna i jeftina. Rucak za dvoje: juha, bečki s prilogom, salata i piće 27€.

I really like this place and what it stands for, very lowkey place that serves tasty authentic Slovenian food. I had vegetable soup and coffee. Staff is very friendly and the prices are great. Highly recommend 5* :-)

I had the Ragu with Polenta and it was good, Good size portions and service was excellent and quick. I arrived at 13:00 and I got the last available table. I would be very happy to eat here again ___ I did eat here again, Beef stew, almost as good as the Ragu :)

Lokal z izjemno zgodbo. Zaposlene so osebe s posebnimi potrebami. Postreženi smo bili zelo prijazno in prijetno. Lokal izjemno lično urejen, tudi sanitarije. Občutek domačnosti. Cene normalne. Decembersko praznična dekoracija estetska.
