We went to have lunch with my mother today (11/14/23). The restaurant was a recommendation from the tour guide who mentioned the restaurant has a Michelin star. The ambience was warm and elegant and we were directed to a table in the courtyard. The waiter, whose name is Mihal, brought the regular menu and the lunch tasting menu. Mihal brought a small snack with deer pate and a basket with 3 types of bread to be eaten with local butter with sea salt. We had the deer tartare for the entrance, and then the broccoli soup and the colliflower risotto for main courses with 2 250 ml coca-colas and a 750 ml bottle of still water. The dishes were exquisitely presented and Mihal explained every dish while serving. After lunch we had a ristretto and an espresso. This was the most sophisticated meal I had all year and probably also in the top 5 of best meals. The bill was €70, a bit expensive for lunch (€35 per person) but the service and the quality of the food made it worth it. The best thing about this meal was Mihal's service, it was impeccable. I would most definitely come back and I certainly recommend you not to miss it

Ресторан из рекомендованных мишленом. Вид на площадь внутри Люблянского града хорош. Винная карта норм... По еде все очень неровно, блюда излишне переусложнены. То ли мишлен давит, то ли шеф пытается в одно блюдо засунуть все свои знания. . Получается не очень

Das Ambiente hat uns sehr gefallen und durften uns den Platz auch selbst aussuchen. Der Service war Top. Sehr aufmerksam, nicht aufdringlich, hat auf Augenkontakt geachtet und kurzen Small Talk eingelegt. Zudem wurde uns jeder Menügang einzeln vorgestellt und präsentiert. Das Amuse Bouche hat uns sehr geschmeckt und war auch super schön angerichtet. Die Vorspeise war sehr Geschmacksintensiv und fruchtig, wie auch salzig. Ein Wow. Die Suppe wurde uns direkt am Tisch angerichtet. Die Hauptspeise war auch in Ordnung, jedoch traf die Wurst nicht wirklich unseren Geschmack und uns daher nicht wirklich überzeugt. Das Dessert war sehr Fruchtig, hatte jedoch auch einen Teil welcher weniger Süss war. Dies fanden wir sehr passend. Die einzelnen Gänge waren immer sehr schön angerichtet und serviert. Zudem war die Portionengrösse jeweils sehr gut abgestimmt. Dieses Restaurant können wir definitiv weiterempfehlen.

La "locanda" del castello, in un ambiente molto particolare un locale di buon livello in cui provare cibi della tradizione slovena ripensati ma non stravolti. Pur essendo elegante è accogliente, senza obbligo di rispettare particolari dress code o prenotazioni obbligatorie. Servizio semplice ma curato, i camerieri hanno i tavoli assegnati per cui si interagisce con la stessa persona. Buon cibo con portate generose. prezzi non di fascia bassa ma il locale può aiutare ad approcciarsi all'alta ristorazione senza farsi intimorire. Mantiene in positivo , a livello alto, lo spirito delle locande. Buon intermezzo durante la visita del castello

We decided to eat here earlier today for lunch whilst visiting the castle and we were not disappointed! The food was absolutely superb - equal to anything we’ve had in more expensive restaurants. They have a lunchtime option with 2 courses for €25 which I thought was good value & had soup and trout fillets. My partner had squid ink ravioli with trout filling. Devine. The waiters also couldn’t be more helpful & attentive.

Non posso valutare il cibo in quanto: - abbiamo prenotato alle 20:30 e siamo arrivati alle 20:55 - una volta seduti ci hanno comunicato che potevamo ordinare solamente un piatto principale (a scelta tra carne e pesce) e dessert e non godere del menu gourmet da 5 portate - questo perché “erano scarichi” e la cucina chiudeva alle 21:00 - Giudicando imbarazzante questo ci siamo alzati e andati via (eravamo in ben 8 persone). In compenso abbiamo potuto scoprire un ottimo ristorante di carne, il Compa, in centro a Lubiana, che ci ha accolti alle 22:00 in 8.

The food was lovely, coffee and cake. And its in a good location overlooking the centre of the castle. Service could have vast improvement though: Coffees came quickly, then one cake, but other did not; went in to use the WC and they asked if we wanted the bill, but we mentioned the missing cake, so it came a few minutes later. Overall, we were probably sitting there 30 minutes longer than needed. And there were plenty of people looking for tables/chairs so i hate to think how much patronage they are missing.

We stumbled upon this restaurant after a sightseeing tour and decided to have lunch here. We had the 3 course menu and it was amazing. They have two vegetarian options for starters and two for mains. The food was amazing and the service too. We got some great recommendations for wine bars and sightseeing.
