Stoli so potrebni obnove. Zapičila sem si trsko v meč in strgala nogavice.Hitra gospa mi je odnesla apiritiv napol popit. Juha z ribano kašo je bila topla. Gobova omaka je bila čudovita, polnega okusa..Ostalo povprečno.

They offer a wide range of traditional dishes, among which stand out three types of soups: mushroom, beef, and asparagus, as well as exceptional and fresh ocvirkova potica. Main courses, such as turkey roulade, veal roast, pork roulade, and fried chicken, are prepared to perfection. Side dishes, like tenstan krompir, fried potatoes, and three types of štruklji, complement the dishes in an original way. Special mention goes to their specialty - gluhi štruklji, which are a true culinary delight. You can accompany your meal with excellent wine, such as Ščurek from the Goriška Brda region. For dessert, we recommend the peach with ice cream, which will delight you with its freshness. The staff is friendly and attentive, which further contributes to the pleasant atmosphere. In short, "Pri Kuklju" is a restaurant that we warmly recommend, as it will impress you with its quality of food and service.

Only five stars are showing, but I'm giving it six stars. This is not just a restaurant; it's an experience. It's luxury and high quality cuisine at an affordable price with a hostess, Marguerite, who is lovely. She explained the menu, and we enjoyed an amazing pork medallions dinner, plus my wife said some of the best liver she's ever enjoyed. Her wine was delicious and very affordable, and their homemade peach strudel was over the top. The owners also run the bakery adjoining, so this restaurant is only open Saturday and Sunday for about 5 hours. Do yourself favor, get there for a late lunch or an early dinner from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m. It is family run for decades, and is probably a landmark in the area.

Loved the fresh and home made quality local food that came with friendly personable service. The host Margareta is genuinely interested in ther guests. Tasty champagne and luscious chockolate cake. Had a lovely time in a quaint Slovenian town! Great stop on a road trip. Took traditional pastry to go.

Probably good food if they are willing to serve you - our family with two and half old toddler, was refused this experience although we saw free tables :-/
