Restaurant Sokol (Gostilna Sokol) opened in 1870. Serving Slovenian indigenous cuisine. Eagel (name of restaurant) has become a tourist attraction, and it is also dedicated in its catering. We serve various domestic delicacies, starting with a glass of domestic spirit.

Una buona cena nel centro di Lubiana. Peccato che dopo le 21:30 non ci di può sedere ai tavoli all'esterno. L'ambiente comunque è piacevole e il cibo ha un buon rapporto qualità/prezzo.

The food here is below average. The ribs were tough, clearly having sat at room temperature too long before being served. The fried squid and chicken were both dry and tough, also at room temperature. The only dish we enjoyed was the sausages on iron plate - those were well prepared. The waiters were friendly and attentive, but that couldn't make up for the poor food quality. The ribs, fried food and chicken showed a lack of attention to cooking temperatures and proper food handling. The food needs to be served hot and fresh for this to be a good restaurant.

Nice restaurant with an option to sit outdoors. The restaurant serves local Slovenian food - the food was very good and so was the service. If you want to try local food in Ljubljana going here is a very good option.

Nice atmosphere, despite the after-ski music. Friendly and very fast service. The 'traditional, Slovenian apfelstrudel' was a let down though: microwaved (to death), like rubber and rather tasteless. In between the apples there were bites that now more resembled an omelette, than the cream that used to be there. Soup was quite nice though.
