This place has been featured on several food blogs. So of course on my first travel to Ljubljana I had to visit, definitely make a reservation this place is highly sought after for lunch as well as for dinner. Everything on the menu is delicious we had a really hard time choosing. The meat is cooked nicely, even though we weren’t asked on how we want it cooked which I found strange. Nevertheless meat was perfect. The chocolate cake was the best I’ve ever tasted, give it a go.

Tip: try to book earlier as it might be hard to get a table without a reservation! Delicious food (we ordered the gulash, julia steaks with struklji (traditional dumplings) & two desserts / all recommended; the nicest service and ambience. They have heating lamps in the terrace for colder nights. It is on a pricy side though with comparison to other places in Ljubljana.

The best we tried was the sea bass with truffle and mashed potato. Crispy skin, and the sauce is pure heaven. Appetizer of mushroom with prawns were superb too. The mushroom pasta with asparagus was not memorable. The two wines we tried were not great, the one called Zelen Colja particularly not as it had a yeast smell. Service was great, the waiter was attentive and quick. Would give 4.5* if I could as we were rather happy overall.

The wine, main course and one of the desserts were amazing but the apple strudel was soft and stodgy rather than crispy. The waiter was great and took it off the bill for us.

Definitiv einen Besuch Wert! Menükarte mit slowenischen Spezialitäten, top Qualität und erschwinglich. Für Vorspeise (Schafskäse) und Hauptgang (Rindsfilet) ca 30EUR. Flasche Wein ca 40EUR. Toller Kellner, Mario, sehr aufmerksam.

Super lecker. Auch ohne Reservierung einen Platz bekommen. Musste 10min vor der Tür warten, aber das macht ja nichts. Ich habe die Tomaten Suppe gegessen, 6 von 10. Tintenfisch Salat 7 von 10. Aber der Gulasch 11 von 10. Bedienung war super gut !
