If Krhne would be located in my hometown, I would eat there every month. Yesterday we had a splendid luch of 4 courses at Krhne, including a nice section of wines. We were pleasantly surprised by the very high level (and looks) of the food served, the wines that came with it, the rustic and spacious ambiance of the restaurant ánd the excellent service. 100% recommendation for a brilliant eating experience in Vipava!

My boyfriend and I had dinner at this lovely restaurant and really enjoyed our evening. I’m vegetarian and my boyfriend eats meat and we were both very happy with the dishes our waiter suggested. The wine was excellent and nicely paired with our dinner. We will definitely be back again!

What a find! The whole atmosphere was incredible - music, art, space and design. The waiter was incredible - very knowledgable, kind and friendly but also so professional! He listened to our wishes and helped us with the choice. Wine was excellent, great choices. I love that everything was local. The food was so incredible that I would say its my favorite meal in a very long time. We tried three pastas and tagliata with potatos and vegetables. Incredible! And the prices were fair! I cannot wait to go back!! Highly recommend!

We enjoyed one of the most delightful meals we've ever had at Gostilna Krhne during our 10th anniversary trip to Slovenia where we honeymooned a decade ago. We trusted Erik entirely with our food and wine choices and were not disappointed. The flavours were astonishing and delicious, all meticulously crafted and sourced from the local area, with many suppliers known by name to the proprietor. It was extremely good value, and we whiled away three hours without even noticing the time. Highly recommended, would happily return next time we are in Vipava Valley.

Erik Zabar is simply wonderful, as is the food at Krhne. We lucked into having dinner here. Initially I was nervous as there was no menu, but it quickly became evident that we were embarking upon a culinary experience with tapa-sized portions and a progressive tasting. We started with cheese lollipops, had an outstanding charcuterie board, tasty mushroom dish, decadent raviolis, and little gnocchi with an egg sauce. All were delicious. Eric takes great pride in making his customers happy and is passionate about providing special wine pairings a wonderfully unique experience. We cannot recommend Krnhe more!

Wow – wir waren absolut begeistert! Ungelogen, das beste Restauranterlebnis, dass wir je hatten. Erik hat uns auf eine kulinarische Reise mit vielen Spezialitäten und teils exklusiven Produkten von lokalen Erzeugern mitgenommen. Wir empfehlen jedem sich auf seine Vorschläge einzulassen. Jeder Gang war ein geschmackliches Feuerwerk für unseren Gaumen und hat uns vor Genuss fast vom Stuhl gehauen: Schinken von Esel und Pferd, Gnocchi in einer Créme aus Eigelb, Pfifferlinge unter hauchdünnem geschmolzenem Lardo, Gulasch vom Bär, Keule vom Wildschwein uvm. – immer begleitet von einer perfekten Weinempfehlung. Ein absolut sympathischer Chef mit ausgezeichneter Küche zu absolut fairen Preisen. Wir empfehlen jedem, der sich im Vipava Tal aufhält einen Besuch hier! Herzlichen Dank! Wir kommen wieder :)

I had the pleasure of dining at Gostilna Krhne, and I can confidently say it was one of the best culinary experiences I've ever had. From the moment I stepped inside, Erik’s warm personality created a cozy atmosphere, instantly making me feel at home. The personal and friendly service made the experience even more special. The menu is a perfect blend of traditional Slovenian cuisine with a modern twist. Erik offered me his personal menu and some of the incredible local dishes, like the wild boar, left a lasting impression! Since I mentioned my love for truffles, Erik even added truffle to this dish, which elevated it to a whole new level. Rich, earthy and perfectly paired. Everything was beautifully prepared with so much care and attention to detail. And trust me, the homemade truffle pasta was simply divine! What truly sets Gostilna Krhne apart, though, is the personal touch. Erik is so passionate about what he does. His food and wine pairing recommendations were spot on and he took the time to ensure I had an unforgettable experience. You can feel his love for both the food and the region in everything he does. I highly recommend opting for the personal menu if you want to explore the best of what this place has to offer. It was an incredible journey through the flavors of Vipava. Honestly, it felt like dining at a Michelin-star restaurant, but with the warmth and charm of a family-run establishment. Erik knows the local wines and dishes inside out, and his suggestions really elevated the experience for me. Overall, dining at Gostilna Krhne was so much more than just a meal. We had a very good diner at Krhne. The tenant is putting a lot of effort to select the best local products for both wines and food and then enhances them very with his cooking. If you want to dine ar Krhne, you need to trust the tenant who will decide for you what's the best wines and dishes of the day are. The wines selection is especially to recommend as the products are unique and of great quality.

I had the good fortune of being taken to Krhne by friends as I would probably have never stopped in Vipava by myself otherwise. I am saying "good fortune" because the lunch we enjoyed was a real experience, thanks also to a great extent to the owner, Erik, and his recommendations. Whether for food or wine, I found them to be spot on. The restaurant occupies the premises of a previous town tavern and has very tasteful decor.

Prvič in zadnjič. Natakar sicer prijazen, strokoven. Menija ni na vidiku, prav tako cen. Ta tip gostiln mi je drugače poznan. Vino kar konkretna cena. Topla predjed sicer okusna, vendar količinsko za majhen vzorec, postreženo v velikem krožniku. Glavna jed nič posebnega. Na kratko, majhne porcije, drago. Nikoli več.

Po mojem mnenju najboljša restavracija daleč naokrog. Zakaj tako mnenje, ker je ambient minimalističen in spominja na stare čase kot mi je všeč, in Erik, njegova kuhinja, ideje, pristop in predvsem vinska spremljava in pozornost na podrobnosti so na tako visokem nivoju, da je celotno doživetje, okusi in vina neverjetno potovanje. Večer je bil na kratko fantastičen, hrana domača, sestavine od lokalnih ponudnikov in cene dostopne za vse. Parkiranje priporočam blizu stadiona, saj je restavravija le kako minuto oddaljena od tam. Priporočam predhodno rezervacijo.

Davvero ottimo, e non solo per il conto, davvero ragionevolissimo, ma anche in termini assoluti. Ingredienti ottimi e cucina contemporanea, ma senza stravaganze. Una scoperta i vini, che ci siamo fatti consigliare per la nostra completa soddisfazione. Il caffè: il migliore ottenuto finora in Slovenia. Insomma: consigliato.

We were looking for a spot to get a quick lunch before going to the beach and ended here. What started with some charcuterie and a sparkling wine ended with 2 more pasta's to share and a bit more wine as well. The host was amazing and we had a good time there. Would recommend it to anyone!

Che dire, un posto meraviglioso. La location bellissima e il cibo veramente speciale con materie prime di alta qualità. Il titolare di una gentilezza estrema. Le porzioni sono davvero molto piccole però alla fine della cena eravamo sazi, non pieni, ma sazi. Spumante pre cena, Antipasto con salumi e formaggi, tre portate di primi, dolce diviso per due e due calici di vino che hanno accompagnato la cena, 95 euro. Davvero consigliatissimo se siete in zona.
