I stumbled upon this place while walking by the river, though I hadn't originally planned to come here. I was looking for a restaurant nearby, and the food here caught my attention. I decided to give it a try for the first time, and I was glad I did! I preferred the salty option over the sweet one, but that’s usually my personal taste. The food was freshly made and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. There was a lady cooking soup in the kitchen who gave off the cozy vibe of visiting an auntie, which made the experience even more special. The place was easy to find and quite popular, with many people coming in. It was nice to sit and relax here for a while. Highly recommend it for a casual, satisfying meal!

This is the best place to try Slovenian food, they have a set menu that includes the Slovenian sausage, soup/stew, buckwheat, and dumplings, at a very reasonable price. The food tasted homey, service was fast, and the servers were efficient amd spoke good English. Will return again to taste other dumpling flavors!

I came here twice, for breakfast and for dinner. I like the location. I can look at the church and watch the open market. The Slovenian dumpling is worth trying. It's interesting texture and actually quite tasty. It's a good portion, enough for one person. The stew is flavorful, a good combination with the sausage. When it comes to service, I have to mention that one of the waitresses was not rather 'cold'. She almost threw the plates onto my table without a smile or saying any greetings. The other waitress and the waiter were helpful and even gave me suggestions when I couldn't decide which dish to order.

Lovely dining spot by the market place. Their specialty is Slovenian "dumplings", with different fillings and toppings. Not your typical dumplings, but rather a type of roulade. Very tasty! There's also salads and other small dishes, like traditional sausage, on the menu. We were very pleasantly surprised that the portions were actually very large - one and a half dumplings basically filled us to bursting. Definitely recommend it! It's quite a popular place it seems, and the first time we came round we couldn't find a seat, so be persistent!

Great place for trying Slovenian dishes! The food is great and the set menus are cheap for the amount of food included. They specialize in dumplings, which are absolutely delicious, but everything else is very tasty and worth trying as well. The location is a plus as well, since it’s located by a cute square and in a very central position on the river, right by the market. Service is quick and friendly and both the savory and sweet dumplings are 10/10, would absolutely recommend stopping here to try them!

I had no great expectations about the sweet dumpling, but it was a good surprise, I choose the coconut flavour, really tasty. It took around 10 min to be done. Absolutely delicious.

Slovenian-style mille crepe cakes with rich flavors and textures; sadly, the staff were not very nice. They were a bit arrogant and looked like they were always very busy. Considering the portion they were a bit pricey, the overall experience was not that good, especially compared to the other bakeries and dessert stores in Italy. Recommend the pistachio and pumpkin one.

Der Kellner hat mich über die slowenische Küche ausführlich informiert. Die Dumpling mit Käse war eine der leckersten Gerichten, die ich bisher gegessen habe. Auf jeden Fall besuchenswert.

Perfekt für zwischendurch. My Dumplings habe ich erst zu spät entdeckt, ich war aber absolut begeistert. Die Strudel schmecken ausgezeichnet (leider kann ich erstmal nur zu den süßen was berichten). Für Himbeere/Dunkle Schokolade habe ich mich entschieden, weil die Sorte letztes Jahr eine gastronomische Auszeichnung erhalten hat, das Symbol sieht mqn aber auch bei einigen anderen Strudel-Sorten im Bistro. Die Größe und die Qualität waren eine sehr schöne Überraschung. Für mein Empfinden sind diese appetitlichen Röllchen eine schwer definierbare Mischung aus Strudel und Dampfnudel. Eins kann ich sicher sagen: sie zergehen auf der Zunge und sind absolut genial von Geschmack. Weitere Vorteile: das Team ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, die Lage sehr zentral. Besser geht es nicht.

Cannot be less than 5 stars ! Very traditional Slovenian food with salty and sweet dumplings. It can be the logo of the Slovenia tradition cucine. Also I give 5 stars to the staff in the picture , she is super nice and welcoming to all the customers and always asks if we need any help , she even bought some water for my dog. The restaurant is very famous and the the staffs are busy , but she can also shows her passion with the job ! It is how I think the Slovenian people , they are all like the waitress in the picture , warm , nice , friendly and kind hearted ! Highly recommend : mushroom soup and all the dumplings.

It's been a month without meat dumplings and the blueberries one too and sometimes I still dream of them. We also really enjoyed the stew!

When I come to Ljubljana, I stop here to eat, ričet, jota, ajdovi žganci, and a great variety of štruklji, tasty, tasty, tasty. It is a must if you visit Ljubljana. And you have a wonderful view, sounds of a vivid city center. Love it.
