We chose Gjerkeš to discover its wines and enjoy a stay in nature. It was a fantastic experience immersed in amazing wines, nature, comfort and human connection from our hosts. The wine tasting takes you to little trips with each wine, discovering new combinations in nose and mouth. Tasting was done in the open air overlooking the forest and vineyards, with delicious cheese, which made it an unforgettable experience. The rooms have been open to the public since September 2023. They combine a modern style, high quality and silence. They have very comfortable beds, aircon, shutters and mosquito net, reading lights, small desk and open functional closet. Beautiful and practical toilet. There is a very nice common living room with a fridge with wine and local beers, a quite nice library with wine literature and a balcony overlooking the forest. Wine, trekking and bike brochures are also available. Breakfast was amazing with local products, including cold cuts, cheese, vegetables, fruit in a beautiful room with direct view to the garden, forest and vineyards. Leon and Helena are incredible hosts, they make you feel at their home, in a peaceful and energizing way. I really appreciate the possibility of having interesting conversations with them. We found the location perfect for us, wine, nature and trekking lovers, to discover the Pomurska Slovenian area, and the neighbouring Austria and Hungarian regions. We are looking forward to coming back and trying the restaurant (as this time was closed due to holidays)

Restaurant: Ambitioniert aber noch viel Luft nach oben. Gerichte optisch schön angerichtet aber geschmacklich für den Anspruch nicht gut abgeschmeckt. Das Filet war knapp lauwarm. Viel zu teuer für das Gebotene. Den "Vogel abgeschossen" hat das Stück Brot zu € 6.50 bei einer doch nicht unwesentlichen Konsumation. Siehe Rechnung in der Anlage. Keine Empfehlung.

An amazing experience! We had a delicious gourmet dinner paired with the Gjerkeš family wines. The food is an inventive spin on local ingredients. We loved the wines from before and happily sampled their full range and took home a selection of favourites. We spent the night in one of their rooms which are modern, cosy and clean. Highly recommend and well worth the trip!
