Restavracija Vodnikov Hram je znana restavracija v samem centru Ljubljane z dolgoletno tradicijo, segajočo v 19. stoletje. Ime restavracije je dobila po slovenskem pesniku Valentinu Vodniku, katerega kip stoji čez cesto na Ljubljanski tržnici. Restavracija se lahko pohvali z izjemno zanimivo notranjostjo, ki sega vse do rimskih časov. We accidentally chose this place the first night of our arrival and came back twice after that. The mushroom soup was amazing! And all other dishes were pretty good too, as well as the service. Highly recommended.

We were referred to Vodnikov Hram by our local accommodation while looking for an authentic Slovenian dining experience (I'll be writing a great review for them too!). We arrived during a busy hour without a reservation, but the staff were incredibly accommodating and quickly seated us. I had the Black Angus ribeye with egg, potatoes, and dill—it was fantastic! The steak was perfectly cooked, and the flavors were spot on. I also tried the local brew, the Blonda ale, which was a classic and paired wonderfully with the meal. Highly recommend this place for delicious food, excellent beer, and outstanding service! By the way, I broke the yoke while trying to show part of the steak for the photo.

Very good food with nice view (when sitting outside), good service. I really loved the beef broth with noodles, it was perfect for me! Very good and tender cheeks with excellent wine sauce. Traditional Slovenian dishes can be found on the menu as well, my friend tried the very delicious štruklji. We recommend this place if you want to live and taste a little bit of Slovenia :)

Inside there is NO AIR CONDITIONING, we ate in a bath of sweat. The pasta (I'm Italian) is dreadful, too cooked and the sauce is bland and after short time becomes nauseating. The sausage is ok (in the side dishes there were traces of other kinds of meat...), but the portions (and so the price) are out of proportion, i think pasta was at least 250 g and the sausage+sides was at least 500g. The plates were ready after only 4 minutes since our order, so they we're at least pre-cooked or cooked in batches. Only remarkable mention, the waiters are real heroes: drenched in sweats, too few for such a big place but always kind and fast, they deserve to work in a better environment.

Really enjoyed my dinner here. The restaurant serves traditional and hearty Slovenian fare but has a broad and diverse menu, so there should be something for everyone. I had the mushroom soup for starters and the Schnitzel Wiener Art (chicken) with French fries for main. Both didn’t disappoint and were very tasty. The mushroom soup was creamy and rich, slightly on the salty side but still enjoyable. It had a nice assortment of fresh mushrooms that definitely elevated the dish. The schnitzel was tender and large, with crunchy and delectable fries. Prices are fair and the service is functional and friendly but was slightly on the slow side on the evening.

Ma restoran je za 10, nema šta da se kaže. Aperitiv, predjelo, glavno jelo, desert i domaći crni Cabernet. Ambijent je prelijep, vrijedi posjetiti.
