Very happy with this choice recommended by our hotel and just around the corner. Service was prompt and friendly. Enjoyed local beers - both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The portions were hearty and more than we could manage, so the waiter offered to package up the leftover Geographic Platter for us. Not sure how it rated price-wise - we've just left iceland, so it seemed really cheap!

I have no idea why there are positive reviews of this place. My husband and I had a pretty terrible dining and customer service experience here during our recent trip to Ljubljana. It was a shame because we were SO excited to try this restaurant after reading the reviews. I should also note, I live in Paris, so I have a pretty high tolerance for poor customer service. I would highly recommend trying other dining establishments in Ljubljana because everyone else we encountered on our stay was super friendly. Details on our experience: We called and made a reservation and knew it must be good when they could not accommodate us for the Thursday night but they could squeeze us in on Friday. When we arrived to the restaurant, the staff seemed a bit confused. A female waitress approached us and, to put it bluntly, sort of got in our faces about us being very late. I believe it was 8:45 p.m. on a Friday night, we had been waiting about 5-10 minutes for them to sort out our reservation. I explained, that yes we were a tiny bit late for our 8:30 p.m. reservation. She said our reservation was at 8:00 p.m. I showed her what I had on my calendar; she walked away. I should note the restaurant was not full by any means nor was the outside terrace. It was Friday night and they are listed as being open until after midnight, so I assumed it should not be a big deal. It's not like we walked in at 11:30 p.m. and expected to be served dinner. Another waiter sat us and took care of us. He tried his best to be friendly and helpful, but in all honesty, my husband and I should have just left after that huge red flag. But the reviews were so good! We shook it off and decided to enjoy ourselves. The food was OK. Nothing to rave about. At all. I also noticed that other groups were approaching the restaurant and after no one paid them any attention for 5-10 minutes they would leave. I asked the waiter if they were closing early or something; why were they ignoring potential customers? I was really surprised by what I was witnessing. If I owned this restaurant, I would be upset with the way it was being run. I would probably have given our experience three stars for the OK food and the waiter we had, but unfortunately, in any service industry people will always remember the way you made them feel. I feel like I wasted my money on sub-par food, and I still cannot believe the way the waitress spoke to us when we arrived. There are better options. Skip this place, for sure!

Zentral gelegenes Lokal für typisch slowenische Küche. Die Speisekarte beschreibt die Gerichte auf slowenisch und englisch. Unsere Bedienung war sehr freundlich und das Lokal war recht gut besucht (mittags). Die Speisen sind überweigend deftig, lecker gekocht und bis auf das Lamm waren die Portionen riesig. Es gibt einige Getränke auf der Karte, die nicht 08-15 sind und die es zu probieren lohnt, z.B. den selbsgemachten Eistee Minze-Zitrone-Kräuter. Die Preise sind überwiegend moderat. Die Toiletten sind in Ordnung. Gut gefallen haben uns auch die massiven Holztische und die Inneneinrichtung. Bei schönem Wetter kann man draussen sitzen.
