Super aardige en enthousiaste eigenaar, heeft enorme kennis van de rivier en denkt in oplossingen. Hij heeft het mogelijk gemaakt dat mijn zoontje ook een waadpak kon huren en een dag kon meevissen!

Very nice shop and helpful owner. Good selection of fly gear and Swiss knives. Would have gave 5 stars but parking in Bled is very difficult around shop 👍👍

Highly recommend! I have been there twice during my holidays in slovenia. Super friendly Service and helpful avices for the sorounding rivers. Not to mention the perfect suited flies! I booked a guiding for one day and just enjoyed the super informative day with Al! He is a local expert and Just knows the river and fish perfectly.

6/5 stars for Matej! He always tries to help and make the best possible fishing opportunities for the customers. The first year it helped out a lot that he explained differences in the rivers and put some spots on the map. This year Matej saved two holiday days for me and my friend with his suggestions in difficult weather conditions. And this advice was free :o The shop is not big but holds everything you might need on a fly fishing trip in Slovenia. Also the shop is a superb place to by local flies tied to good quality hooks with truly reasonable prices. Naturally it also helps to get advice on the working flies for the moment. Hopefully see you again in 2020 :)

Hi Matej, Thank you for arranging the afternoon fishing Radovna in Sept. You put Al to guide me. It was probably my most enjoyable afternoon fishing ever. Fabulously clear fast flowing but easy to wade and fish very keen on the dry fly options Al tied. Thanks to you and Al for a memorable time.

Very expensive stay at Lodge! indeed. You have to travel into Bled to eat! which is a bit of a pain. plenty of good places to eat there, and cheaper so best place to stay! Excellent fly shop! Matej was easily the most helpful fly-shop worker I've ever encountered. He knows the area incredibly well, treats his customers with great respect, and speaks a number of languages fluently. I'm already planning to return back to Bled and give Fauna some more well-deserved business.

Small fly fishing shop in Bled close to the magical lake. Easily accessable by car. You can park short time at the restricted area beside the shop for free. You only have to say to the car-park attendant that you are buying fishing licenses. Most of the time Matej is in the shop. He is a really nice guy. There are a lot of great possibilities to fish. Matej knows the actual fishing conditions, is selling different licenses and gives you a lot of tips and is connecting to a guide if required. Well-sorted collection of dry flies and nymphs and a good choice of fly fishing gear. Some time the owner is in the shop, he is slightly different to Matej and sometimes a little bit snappish. Overall a top spot to buy your licence and needed gear to fish the lovely places in Bled area.

Matej not only gave us tons of information on local streams, but he even redirected us to another river an hour away when the local streams were swollen with rain. His standing policy is to never sell someone a license for an unfishable river, and they check the local rivers every day. Over two days of fishing, I hooked into some of the nicest trout I have ever seen in spite of challenging conditions. I highly recommend this shop.
