I traveled to Ribnica on business last year and stayed at the Škrabec homestead. It is perfectly located for what I needed and the staff is really friendly. I visited them many times in a span of a few months and I can almost say that we have become friendly. ||The breakfast is extra price, but it is decent and includes local dishes, which I appreciate. I would recommend this to other people travelling to the region on business.

My husband and I were looking for a peaceful weekend get-away destination for our anniversary and we found Skrabceva domacija to be perfect spot for us! Location is excellent, nestled in an idylic and serene village near Ribnica, where you can really recharge your batteries. The rooms are super comfortable and uniquely decorated, and the service is really friendly - Peter, the estate keeper, showed us around the Skrabceva homestead (there's a lovely musem just accross the street!) and explained the history of the family and local environment. Ribnica museum and the handicraft center, as well as Miklova hisa gallery are all worth the visit. We were treated to a wonderful gourmet dinner by local chef Nik and his wife Mateja who use local ingredients and tell an anecdote or two about Ribnica and its history. On Sunday we decided to sleep in, since it was raining. We had to leave the hike to Sv. Ana mounting for next time that we return - which we most definitely will.

Visited the region with my husband and toddler and found this small hotel online. The setting is amazing and you have everything you need within reach. Nice restaurants, shops, cultural facilities, art and the amazing nature. The staff is really friendly and geuine. I would definitely recommend!
