Es un museo con una gran directora y personal muy bien preparado. Hacen las exhibiciones con mucho trabajo y amor hacia su cultura, trabajan sobre la memoria histórica, así como también en arte y teoría contemporánea

It’s a beautiful building with interesting art that reminds me that war and political upheaval wasn’t that long ago and it still reverberates in many different ways.

To me, this was quite disappointing. I do like modern art, but the exhibitions were more about shock value and politics than art and even the formal, technical aspect of them seemed to be neglected.

As one of the reviewers said, contemporary art is not easy to understand. I'm not a huge fan myself, however the museum did a decent job desplaying the art pieces and describing them very nicely in most cases and gives insights about the artists. This was great to see especially that the culture that the art operates in is a bit different to my own (yet we got to see pieces by Polish artists too, yay!). I especially enjoyed (if that can be said) the exhibition about human and animals but I got angry at the reviews saying that it was horrible and distressing. IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE DISTRESSING AND STOMACH TURNING!!! BECAUSE IT IS!!, and if you can't witness these acts of violence, maybe you should ask yourself who pays for their execution and why they happen. The chicken that lives there has 100x better life living conditions that any chicken on any farm (although I find it questionable whether it's a good idea that it lives there).

Mi è piaciuto, certo l'arte contemporanea non è facile da capire, ma mi è piaciuto rispetto ad altri musei di questo genere, l'ho trovato più interessaante. Costa poco, 5 euro e 2,50 per studenti, da farci un giro.

Never have I been as uninspired and disappointed as during my visit to this museum. The photographs had a cheap and easy feel to them, with cliche subjects and all black-and-white; not to mention the paper wasn’t even glued well to the back of the frame most of the times, resulting in weirdly curved photos that just felt amateurish. The art, bar only one specific collection, was flat out boring. Cheap tricks to raise questions about identity (a bunch of ID-cards made out of debit cards), downright stupid at times (the same exact signature drawn and displayed in the same room nine times) often resorting to just ‘shocking’ you to create some sense of meaning that isn’t there (a literal heap of garbage thrown onto a pile in a part of the museum). Downright the most uncreative museum I’ve ever had the great displeasure of finding myself in; but, alas, while I could go on and on for literal hours citing different parts of the exhibitions that threw me off completely, i think it will suffice to say that this place is the most underwhelming, poorly executed excuse for a place of imagination, creativity, and beauty that I’ve ever encountered. The only nice part of this place was the view of the city outside. This museum stands sadly in stark contrast to the mostly beautiful and charming Ljubljana, the other museums of which have given me nothing but pleasure. Thus, avoid going here at all costs.
