I can not begin to explain how horrible my experience here was. We found an ants nest in the gap of the wall on our room. We only noticed them the second night as we had gotten in late and gone out to the city very early. They were everywhere: in our luggage on our clothes in the shower and on the bed.
We immediately called management to let them know that there was an ants nest and asked what we could do. He immediately raised his voice and demanded to know what we wanted him to do about it.
He then told us we had two options:
1. Clean it up ourselves; or
2. He could send someone.
So we asked that he send someone, and again he immediately raised his voice and said he wouldn’t send anyone…?
So we called booking, asked that they speak to him and send someone, we were looking for information on what to do next.
They told him to send someone over, and again he did not.
By this time I contacted booking and they assured me I would get a refund for all nights as long as I did not write a review. (The managers request.)
We had already changed hotels at this point and I was just waiting for my refund.
There was a fee for cancellation of €122.40 but the owner was insisting that I cancel, so I sent in a request to waive the cancellation fees.
He again told me I had to cancel.
I informed him that he needed to accept the cancellation I gave him.
He told me that he would not.
Accepting to waive the fees would mean I get a full refund (which he had already agreed to give me.) He continued on saying I needed to cancel in a way he could keep the money and refund me half.
I called booking for the last time and asked them to speak to him….again.
I finally did end up getting a refund, and they said I can even write a review, (apparently hosts can’t make demands like that.)
He was also extremely rude to me during these encounters saying things such as:
(In response to the images of the ants he said)
“I thought your pictures were a joke”
“Basic math is obviously too hard for you”
( which doesn’t even make sense when discussing an infestation of ants?)
“Stop being obnoxious, customer service already told me you got a refund”
( this is when I asked him to waive the cancellation fees and give a me the refund he had agreed to.)
He then complained to me after just a night that my reservation had been accepted too late in the day.
(he was the one who had to accept it?)
That meant he couldn’t get someone to rent the room and he was loosing money….
First of all, his fault?
Secondly those ants have definitely not been exterminated in a night.
Although don’t worry guys he assured me they had been.
Overall, terrible experience.
The host is a very rude and unprofessional person, the rooms would have been nice had we not been sleeping with ants.

We stayed several nights in 2 different apartments of this place. First room we could not use the shower because the bathroom was getting flood, the management didn’t resolve this situation. The second room was actually worse. Full of mosquitoes, the room didn’t have a remote for the air conditioning, the double bed was so small, again problem with the shower, we couldn’t use it. Honestly I won’t recommend these apartments.

Big room good airco great location just outside Ljubljana. Minus one because the bedding wasn't so clean. Owner is helpful when you have check-in problems.
