We recently booked a self-guided 3-day trekking tour with Life Adventures to reach the top of Mt. Triglav, and unfortunately, the experience was far from positive. Despite severe weather predictions that made it clear it would be impossible to reach the summit, the agency still sent us up the mountain without offering any alternative options. This is not only frustrating but also irresponsible, especially for less experienced hikers who might not recognize the potential dangers. Communication with the emergency number was a complete failure. The messages we received were unclear. Also, upon our return at the designated time, the office was closed, even though we were told we needed to return the via ferrata gear. We tried contacting them via the emergency number again but received no response. This lack of support and communication is unacceptable. For anyone considering a hike to Mt. Triglav, be aware that the trek is perfectly doable without booking a tour. The only thing you truly need is via ferrata gear, which can be rented in a lot of places. There is no need to book a tour with Life Adventures, as they added little to no value to the experience and created more hassle than help. Save your money and do it on your own!
