Zoals vele was ik niet vertrouw met Sloveense wijnen. In huis istenic kan je hun "sparkling wine" proeven in al zijn grootsheid. Deze grote, kleine wijnboer, laat zien welk potentieel deze regio heeft. ||Breng gewoon een bezoekje en overtuig uzelf van de kwaliteit. De vriendelijkheid krijg je er gratis bij.

The vila is recently renovated and they have done a good job. The nature allaraound its beautiful and ofers a great variety of possibilities for trips. I recomend trips to local wine cellars, if you have a chance, ask the stuff for directions to "VINSKI HRAM BERKOVIC".|The owner is very friendly and owns the oldest wine cellar in the country, from the year 1722.|At the vila they serve very good breakfast, also with some local meat products and the house made marmelade. But if you have any wishes they will try to make it happen. Make also sure to visit Istenic sparkling wine cellar on the estate of the vila.|I have almost no complains about the vila, although the windows in the room were very small. But we were out discover all the day so

Zelo lepa vila- sobe so velike in čiste. Zelo prijazno osebje. Toplo priporocam.||A really beautiful villa- all the rooms are big and clean. The staff is really nice and helpful. I recommend you to visit the Istenič villa.||Una vila muy bonita. Todas las habitaciones son grandes y limpias. El personal es muy amable. Muy recomendable.

Villa padronale ristrutturata da poco, con molto gusto. Il proprietario produce vino con tecnica champenoise (!). Putroppo non l'abbiamo assaggiato perchè ci siamo fermati solo una notte. Siamo arrivati tardi e non c'era nessuno, abbiamo dovuto chiamare un n. telefonico e sono arrivati in 10 min. Le stanze sono grandi e accoglienti, la colazione ottima, il servizio corretto ma ridotto al minimo, forse perchè eravamo gli unici clienti.||Lontano da tutto (una pizzeria a 1 Km), scomodo per chi come noi è in bicicletta.

The Villa Istenic exemplifies all that is good about Eastern Slovenia. The newly renovated B&B is set in the Istenic vineyards, overlooking the rolling countryside of vines, maize fields and pasture. Our room was spacious, tastefully furnished and cool, with en suite bathroom. We ate a simple dinner of Istenic sparkling wine, snails, and ham and cheese in the restaurant above the B&B. Breakfast was fresh farm fare with the tastiest bread rolls, ham and fresh figs, washed down with strong coffee. ||||The wifi was strong and the bed was extremely comfy. Mr Istenic himself came to greet us at dinner. It was a magical stay

On day four of our cycling tour in east Slovenia, our tour operator (Helia) had booked accommodation at Vila Istenic. A great choice!||||We experienced a warm welcome by Janez the owner. On arrival he served great tasting sparkling wine from his own production and gave us a small glimpse of his insight of wine production, generated through almost a lifetime in the business. Fun and interesting experience:)||||The beautiful villa contains of 6 bedrooms and a dining/ breakfast area. Recently renovated and tastefully furnished.||Our bedroom and bathroom was very spacious, emphasised by the tall ceilings. From the bedroom and the breakfast area there's a beautifull view of the surrounding landscape with it's beautiful green fields and mountains.||||Wine tasting is also available if booked in advance. Luckily our tour operator had done so. The wine tasting took place in Janez own garden, very scenic, literally in one of his vineyards. Great experience, and the perfect start to a new day of cycling, even though we easily could have spent a day or two more here:)

Wir waren für 6 Nächte in dieser wunderbaren Villa und sind mehr als zufrieden. Das Haus ist sehr schön restauriert, die Zimmer geräumig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, das Frühstück einfach aber delikat. Wenn man in diese Gegend kommt ist es die perfekte Wahl. Zum ausgezeichneten Sekt haben wir noch ein sehr günstiges, mehrgängiges Abendessen genossen, die Speisen sind nach lokalen Rezepten zubereitet, sehr gut und reichhaltig und abwechslungsreich. Der Hausherr, eigentlich Winzer mit der preisgekrönten Sektkellerei ist ausnehmend freundlich und stets präsent. Auch die Köchin und das Personal sind sehr liebenswert und freundlich. Man fühlt sich rundum wohl und wir werden gerne wiederkommen!!!

We spent one night in these lovely B&B just few km from Brezice and the border between Slovenia and Croatia. Room was spacious, clean and furnished with taste. Delicious breakfast with local products, served with great kindness in a room with an amazing view! A place we warmly recommend!!! We will surely be back to taste their sparkling wines!

Tutto comincia con un disguido alla prenotazione con booking: avevamo chiesto un check in ritardato, ci viene comunicato che non è possibile, ci presentiamo al mattino, non c'è nessuno, chiamiamo... i titolari ci aspettavano per la sera tardi come richiesto; sono comunque arrivati in non più di un quarto d'ora. La casa, rinnovata da poco, mantiene il fascino dell'architettura locale; ci sono degli spazi comuni dotati di tv e computer, la connessione wi-fi è libera. La camera (nonostante fosse la più piccola) è ampia: due poltrone un tavolino, spazio abbondante negli armadi, ampio bagno e ... per chi se lo dimentica a casa pure un computer.||Bellissima la sala per la colazione: luminosa con ampie vetrate aperte sulla campagna circostante.||Unico difetto è la lontananza dalle classiche mete in zona ( più di 20 chilometri dalle terme di Olimja). Merita sicuramente invece una visita al vicino castello di Podsreda.
