This is a small, family-owned winery just outside of Maribor. Our host was excellent and knowledgeable and a cheese plate was also provided during the tasting. We particularly enjoyed the Sauvignon, Chardonnay and the Muscat. Prices are very reasonable at 10 euros a bottle. I strongly recommend a visit if you are staying in the area.

Fantastisk vinprovning! Vi hörde av oss med kort varsel och vi fick en superfin privat vinprovning av gårdens alla 6 viner på olika druvor med god lokal ost till. De berättade om gården, deras arbete med vingården och produktionen. Så nöjda med vårt besök och rekommenderar varmt!

Read the review of Mark Browning and I can assure you that everything is great about this wine and winery. The history, setting, vineyards and of course the wine itself! Family-driven, small amount of high quality wines makes your trip worth! The surroundings are amazing as well. We were so in love with the vineyard and the surprising top quality of wines for very low prices.

This small, family-owned winery on the outskirts of Maribor (5 minutes from city center) is definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. They may take drop-ins, but it's best to call in advance and let them know your estimated arrival time. (Maribor tourist info office is very good and will call for you if requested.) Our host (a young family member) was very friendly and knowledgable, providing interesting property, family and Slovenian history along with the excellent wine and a cheese plate. (15E per person.) Some specialized wine varieties not available in many places were an unexpected treat. My favorite was the Silvanek, but a dry Chardonnay was also exceptional. Very highly recommended and 10E for bottles of excellent wine is a very reasonable price.

Fantastic wine tasting experience! We found a lot of wineries in Slovenia aren’t responsive when trying to book a tasting appointments, however this was not the case with Ramsak Winery. We booked our wine tasting by email and they were very quick and clear with their communication. (Thank you!) Ramsak is a family run winery, we met Thomas and his father, and tasted 6 white wines accompanied by a cheese board for 15€ per person, and all wines are available to purchase at very reasonable prices (We bought a Silvi Pinot / Pinot Grigio and a Silvaner) Our tasting took place in their rustic cellar, which has one of the largest basket presses in Europe which was last used in the 1940’s. Thomas is fluent in English and gave us a a very in depth tasting, he talked about the history of the Ramsak Winery and family, also sharing his knowledge about the history of Slovenian wine. Highly recommend a visit to Ramsak Winery if you’re visiting Maribor!

Looked it up on Google and just showed up. The couple that owns the place definitely wasn’t expecting anyone. Yet they welcomed me and gave me a tasting in their home where the old wine press is. Very nice people and nice wine. Didn’t stay here, just passed through.

We showed up on a Sunday and we're treated to a delicious and gracious tasting (plus buying several bottles) right before their harvest was about to start. Thomas was informative and a great and warm host. Definitely don't miss this place.

We called the host only 2 hours prior and he personally greeted us, made us taste 6 delicious wines and explained everything about the family winery. It was a very authentic and welcoming experience, beautifully located, we absolutely adored it. Would recommend to everyone!

It was a spontaneous decision to visit the winery for a tasting. The host was kind enough to let us in with no prior notice and let us taste not only the regular wines of our choice but also a Chardonnay, which currently is still maturing in the cask (outstanding wine btw). Wunderschön gepflegtes Weingut. Wir hatten eine sehr interessante Weinführung mit Besichtigung der größten Weinpresse Sloweniens. Der Juniorchef hat uns sehr interessante geschichtliche Details erzählt und uns trotz unseres unangekündigten Besuchs sehr freundlich empfangen. Der bestellte Wein kam zuverlässig und prompt bei uns zu Hause an. Top! Wir freuen uns auf den nächsten Besuch!

Andrej è stato estremamente gentile nel presentarci la sua cantina. Vini bianchi interessanti , cantina in cima alla collina di Maribor immersa tra vigneti e abitazioni per fare glamping. Decisamente un'attrazione doverosa , raggiungibile a piedi attraversando il bel parco che domina la città.

Wir dürften hier ohne Voranmeldung an einer Weinverkostung teilnehmen. Wir wurden mit Weinen auf Spitzenniveau überrascht, in einer tollen Atmosphäre. Vielen Dank für den Einblick und diese Erfahrung. Wir bestellen definitiv nach und kommen mal wieder vorbei.
