Most bi bil zelo koristen za vse ljubitelje kolesarjenja in sprehodov po Barju. Žal sedanji most služi le vodovodni infrastrukturi. Slovenija bi lahko - po zgledu Avstrije in Slovaške in drugih (kolesarsko rekreativne poti vzdolž Donave) - naredila kolesarsko / rekreativno pot vzdolž Ljubljanice, npr. od centra Ljubljane do Vrhnike.
