We arrived in Kamnik on a Sunday morning to learn that the next bus to Velika Planina was departing at 16 (Sunday schedule). A lady at the bus stop suggested that we drop by the Tourist Information Center, which was—luckily for us—open! At the Center, a very friendly and helpful young man checked the bus schedules once again and offered to call us a taxi (which cost €15). He went on further to tell us about the area we were heading to in case we had some time left before the return bus (17:34). Although we hadn’t had a chance to use the tips, a trip to Velika Planina was a gem of our vacation! We are eternally grateful to the Tourist Information Center and will come back to Kamnik to explore more of the town and its surroundings. Thank you!
