We absolutely loved our dining experience at Bistro Maha! Our waitress, who was running the whole place single-handedly (and quite impressively, might I add) was so kind. For drinks, we had the GINger tonic, gin paloma, and a sweet white wine - all were delicious! The stuffed onions appetizer and the aged risotto entree were delightful! Each component was carefully constructed. The most impressive to us was the Juicey Marbles filet mignon and accompanying sauce - I was really blown away by the likeness to steak. The tiramisu was the perfect way to end our culinary journey. Beyond the excellent vegan dishes and exceptional service, sitting near the open window at sunset was a sublime setting. Not to mention, the food elevator was, in its own right, very mesmerizing. I wish we could come back!

We were drawn to this establishment by our dietary requirements/choices , the state of hunger and excellent reviews . We were impressed with the ablution facilities : clean and well designed . The service provided by the young man was good and sensitive: when our food order was delayed by over an hour , he was apologetic and offered olives and bread sticks on the house - his timely intervention saved us! The starter was good, in portions, at their best . The main course we requested , we were informed by our able and candid waiter , was new on the menu . We could understand his guidance as it needs considerable practice : The rice remained in its original state despite the time it spent in the dish, the asparagus was good and the nuts were toasted to perfection ! The combined effort of the dish was underwhelming though we appreciated the effort put behind it by the team. We will return, but, will focus on the team's well practiced dishes that will do full justice to the bill of fares !

We did not expect it but the cuisine is actually gstronomical oriented, wish justified the price that felt a bit expensive at the first look. The food was very fine and tasty and the service realy friendly. We recommend for plant based food lovers and every curious persons

The food here is astonishing! I have chosen to eat vegan food for a while now but my husband is a carnivore and even he was extremely impressed. The dishes here are invented and cooked by a team of chefs including Edi who was delightful. They push the boundaries with respect to originality, taste and presentation. What I had, for me, matched up to food that some of the best chefs have presented on Masterchef and what I have eaten at Michelin star restaurants on the rare but memorable occasions that I have been. The cost is appreciably less though and their lunch deal is amazing. There is another vegan restaurant in Ljubljana that we also tried - Gujžina - which falls a long way short of this place - dreadful service, dry food and more expensive! Bistro Maha is in a small shopping street, a short walk away from the Three Bridges and you have to seek it out. Whilst the location is not as pretty as some, in my opinion, there isn’t a better place to experience both affordable and exceptional cuisine from friendly, dedicated and ground breaking staff.

Nice ginger cocktail. I can't recommend the "minestrone" or the "BBQ ribs." I'm sure other menu items are better, as Maha has many good reviews.

Zelo rada se vračam. Naravni okusi, boljše kot bi si sama doma skuhala. Sladice niso presladke in so tudi pristnega zdravega okusa. Vse pohvale! 🙏❤️

A very nice and cozy place to sit and enjoy your food. Portions are big and price is fair. The waitress was nice.

Beautiful environment, delicious food that’s both filling enough to keep you going but also light enough to keep you lithe and limber enough to walk around the lovely city of Ljubljana. Lots of plant based / vegan options. Service is great, staff are very friendly and helped give me some great advice about getting around and other places to eat in Lake Bled etc. They also have their own brand of kombucha. Highly recommend!
