The restaurant is pretty well located and the food is really really good! It’s great to see traditional Slovenian dishes being offered in vegetarian and vegan. The waiter was also super friendly and nice. Definitely recommended, especially the vegan bograč (you can also buy some take away). In terms of price, it is aligned with other restaurants in the city center, actually even less expensive. Good job!

Comida muy mediocre e insípida para el precio que tiene. Lo peor ha sido lo que tardan en sacar los platos. Cuando por fin nos han traído el primer plato a los 2 minutos nos traian tambien el segundo porque se habían equivocado. Encima uno de los platos no se correspondía con la descripcion en el menu. Lo único positivo el camarero.

TL;DR: Güjžina disappoints with its vegan interpretations of traditional Slovenian dishes, while not clearly advertising its vegan focus. Although Güjžina enjoys a prime location in the city centre, it does a disservice to the rich heritage of traditional Slovenian cuisine. Imagine my surprise when, after being seated and perusing the menu, I realized the restaurant is strictly vegan - a fact not prominently advertised. While I respect vegan choices, an authentic Slovenian meal is generally far from being vegan, with animal products like lard, milk, and cheese heavily featured, especially in the Prekmurje region Güjžina attempts to represent. Traditional dishes like bograč, klobase, dödoli in cream sauce, and ocvirki are staples of our diet, inherently non-vegan and cherished for their authenticity. Güjžina's venture into crafting vegan versions of these dishes fell dramatically short, leaving me yearning for the true flavours of my homeland. A more transparent approach about the vegan reinterpretation of Slovenian food would be greatly appreciated and would help patrons to manage their expectations. Unfortunately, for those seeking a traditional Slovenian meal, Güjžina's offerings may leave a sour taste of inauthenticity. Proceed with caution. Rating: ★☆☆☆☆

The best restaurant I've been to since years! Traditional slovenian dishes that are made vegetarian/vegan. Finally I could get to know slowenian traditions as a vegan person 💚 The service was great as well. It was such a nice experience, thanks a lot!

Pieno centro di Lubiana, ristorante vegetariano e vegano, che reinterpreta i cibi della tradizione slovena. Ho apprezzato moltissimo il loro gulasch, e da vegetariana da molti anni ho apprezzato davvero tanto di poter assaggiare i piatti tipici di una zona mediamente molto carnivora. Servizio un po' disorganizzato, con attesa abbastanza lunghe per potersi sedere, nonostante gli sforzi di una cameriera molto gentile e presente. Consigliato

The location is great and the terrace is lovely. I personally didn’t like the service, the waiter tried to be funny but came across as rather rude. The food was ok. They do have a wide selection of dishes. We ordered the gnocchi with porcini mushroom sauce. The portions are on the smaller side.

Gujžina bietet eine sehr große Auswahl an vegetarischen und veganen Speisen. Wir waren wirklich beeindruckt von der Vielfalt. Viele davon sind Variationen von traditionellen Gerichten. Wir haben ein vegetarisches Steak und ein Trio von Veggi-Würsten bestellt. Das Essen war sehr lecker und schön angerichtet. Die Portionen fallen nicht groß aus, aber für uns hat es gereicht, da wir Brot dazu bekamen. Der Service war freundlich. Die Preise der meisten Hauptgerichtegerichte befanden sich zwischen 15-20€. Dies war für die Leistung aber angemessen. Im Übrigen hatten wir einen der leckersten Apfelstrudel zum Nachtisch! Nur weiterzuempfehlen!!

YUM! What a spectacular vegan/vegetarian experience!!!! We were so delighted to get a spot here, be careful on Sundays in the summer as restaurants get busy as supermarkets are closed. Nonetheless, this seems to be a popular spot with locals and tourists alike, with lots of charming outdoor and unfortunate seating. The taste of the food was gorgeous, so flavoursome and unique. There is an extensive menu of creative, typical Slovenian food. It was hard to choose! Personally I recommend the “feast for two”. My pictures are of the homemade ham with delicious sauces, the delicious stew, and the typical local cake. Gorgeous! There is a huge choice of drinks too. The staff are very kind and informative too! Thanks for a wonderful dining experience! We won’t forget this beautiful evening in Ljubljana :)

Haben 2 mal Kuchen spezialität gehabt war sehr fein und no leicht warm und dazu noch 2 Eiscaffe für total 22 euro für schweizer turist noch okey aber schon eher teuer... aber kann ich sehr empfehlen☺️👌🏼
