I decided to come here based on the several good reviews. I had the vegan bograč (beef stew) and dark steak with green pepper sauce. The stew was very good and I recommend it. I did not enjoy the steak (the whole peppercorns were overwhelming) but the dodole served with them were delicious. Bit pricey.

We did a free city tour of Ljubljana today and when we inquired about vegan/vegetarian restaurants, the tour guide Tina 1 recommended Güjžina. Wow! It was great! We wanted to sample the taste of local dishes like Goulash which has meat, and this restaurant delivered an amazing vegan version. We also enjoyed the sausage, very tasty. The service was excellent and the atmosphere cozy! If you are vegan or vegetarian, or you simply want to try something different, plant based, and delicious, this is the place to go!

The food was great but the service was awful. While the waitress was friendly the service was very slow. We ordered a starter and a main, which led on to a series of bad management decisions. Both courses were served at the same time. This was very unpleasant, and we couldn‘t enjoy our food. My husband couldn‘t eat his main but all we got was a sorry. We were then offered a dessert for takeaway but then they said they couldn‘t give us the dessert we asked for. They said that it was not for takeaway even though the waitress confirmed she could pack it up. There were packages with that dessert on the street display too. We got a piece of cake then with ingredients we are allergic too, so the cake was taken away without any replacement to compensate for their bad service. We still had to pay the one main course my husband couldn‘t eat and couldn‘t take with us because we were on vacation. The great food doesn‘t compensate the horrible service.

The staff smoked weed in the kitchen, so the restaurant was very smelly. We have been in the small part of the restaurant. The staff forgot the bread to the soup. The table next to us didn‘t get the second course, the table at the door left as they have not been served at all. The food is good, would go there again!

Nice restaurant, traditional Slovenian cuisine vegan style. Excellent! Had tartar, polenta with mushrooms, both very tasty, gnocchi with pumpkin seed pesto (which could have been spiced a bit better). Strudel as dessert was fantastic. Prices okay. Music a bit too loud, but friendly waiters. All in all a great visit! Mostly foreigners, why?

Wouldn't even give us anything to go. Saying kitchen had closes despite still having 50 minutes to closing. We also waited for 5 minutes to even be acknowledged.

My wife insists that this is where she really fell in love with me. Food is to die for. You can't go wrong on the menu. Wine choices are superb, food comes out quick and atmosphere feels cozy and relaxed. Even my family who isn't veg like us likes the place.

Friendly service but the 2 mains we had were disappointing. Porcini polenta had no porcini taste, there were lots of sliced sweet peppers and 2 thin bits of porcini no surprise there was no porcini taste, over priced at EUR 16 for a plate of polenta. The gnocchi dish was equally bland. The Sovenioan style starter stews were tasty.

Ich kann die negativen Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Draußen steht groß und breit: vegan und vegetarisch. Das Essen war Klasse, die Bedienung schnell und freundlich. Besonders lecker waren die Tagliatelle. Aber auch das Gulasch und die Knödel/Dödele sind zu empfehlen.

Excellent Slovenian food rearranged in vegan style. Beside the great quality, 5 stars go to the best waiter/manager we met in Ljubljana. After dinner we had an interesting conversation about the future of vegan food and he kindly shared useful Infos. Looking forward to seeing you again
