We visited the Winery and the experience was absolutely wonderful! The wine and local food was great! This was a great way to learn about Slovenia's wine region and heritage in vipava valley. We've been to quite a few wine tastings before in different regions, but this one was very different and special, providing a personal story and plenty of information about the region, the wines, history and heritage. Thanks Irena for a wonderful experience!

We really enjoyed the wine tasting at Lepa Vida. The wines are great! But besides that you also get very tasty food and a lot of information about wine making and Slovenia in a very informal and pleasant setting. It was one of the highlights of our trip to the Vipava Valley. We bought some wines and at home we still think they are great. Definitely recommend to go there and enjoy the wine tasting at Lepa Vida!

Irena was the best host! I loved her passion not only for her wine but also for her family and her culture. The whole experience was truly amazing and best part was that I got to try several white wines I really enjoyed (very impressive given I am typically a red wine enthusiast). Not to mention the unique 'Orange Wine' and charcuterie plate (all of which was absolutely delicious). You have to stop by Lepa Vida Winery if you are visiting Slovenia. I know I'll be back one day!

Wine tasting there is a must. Irina is a wonderful host, really introducing you both into wine and region. Wines are really nice, from simplier ones into quite full-bodied, made also from indegenious grapes. They are accompanied by local delicious snacks. The building is modern and - to say - conciously inscribed in the landacape. And the view is just great.

We visited Lepa Vida without any reservation and we got such a warm welcome. During the tasting we experienced many of their tastefull wines, each with a personal story. We even learned a lot about the history of the area. Can't wait to enjoy the bottles we bought!

We were in Slovenia for the first time when we visited Lepavida. The wine tasting was an experience wich made our visit to this wine region in Slovenia even better than it already was. From the moment we arrived till the moment we left, Irena and Matija succesfully did everything to make us feel at home. They learnt us a lot about -not only- their wines, vinyard and the delicious local food Irena prepared. They also learnt us a lot about the slovenian history, culture and the way they and their kids lived. It felt like we were on a visit to a Slovenian family where we were more than welcome. The taste of the wine we tasted and bought was great. And when we’ll drink it in Holland the thing we will remember by it was the whole experience of visiting Lepavida in this beautiful country.

We visited Lepa Vida winery on a sunny afternoon during our vacation in Slovenia. Irina made us feel very welcome at her property. She has a warm personality, is very friendly and explained us a lot about her wines, the valley and Slovenia. We were amazed by her passion, knowledge and sustainable business strategy. We tasted about eight wines accompanied by a plate full of tasty cheese, air dried hams and other yummy food. If you like wine, especially white wines, and if you want to learn a lot, we can definitely recommend this place. Hope to be back one day!

We stopped in at Lepa Vida winery on our trip through Slovenia and were warmly greeted and invited for a wine tasting (without a booking). We were provided with great information about Slovenian wine making and thoroughly enjoyed the experience in a minimalistic setting with a gorgeous outlook across the vineyards. We love that this inspiration for your cellar door and tasting room came from your trip to Australian vineyards! Such a lovely wine tasting experience! Irena welcomed us even though we hadn't made a booking. Everything was explained to us in her excellent English and we bought a few bottles to enjoy at Lake Bled, our next stop. Incredible!! This winery is such a hidden gem. We attended a private tasting which was such an amazing experience, with fresh local treats, eight magnificent wines and wonderful hosts (husband & wife who run the winery). The tasting was very personal, informative and fun.. we even got our own Polaroid photos to take home and a game of mini golf to end the night! If you’re looking for an authentic Slovenian wine tasting experience, I wholeheartedly recommend Lepa Vida!
