Terrible service. If your landlord does not provide his home address in your contract, you are out, there is no way they can contact him(even if the house where you were living until then belongs to him, which is kind of ironic). This was my case, I realised that after paying the 15 euros fee or whatever it is called (I would say donation), they were not able to help me, even if I found my old house in daft.ie after a month 1000 euros more expensive than we were paying. There is no punishment for law breakers in the property market.

Very ineffective service. They will do everything in their power to postpone the answer/resolution until it will be too late for you. They are acting for benefit of the big companies. Don't seek their assistance without solicitor's help. I didn' believe all reviews here before until I had to deal with them

Powerless and ineffective! It took them three months to examine my case and determine that they couldn't proceed with my dispute. Even if I provided all the information upfront, I have received questions in several delayed e-mails that only had the purpose of prolonging my case and make me drop my legitimate claims. Shameful institution

the guys at the reception were extremely rude, they let me sit 10 minutes and then they kicked me out like who to throw a beggar. I do not know how they hire to work in the reception of a building similar to the vulgarity of people.

Useless. They don't give you a single feedback and don't really try to fix your issue. If you have any issue with your landlord don't waste your time calling RTB, they will keep saying they don't have enough information to proceed or that the landlord doesn't reply the calls and emails and they never can answer anything on the chat pushing you to call and wast time and money to do not have any support by phone.

Just went through the mediation process with Steven Dixon. He was very nice but very unhelpful. He called me from a mobile phone which had no coverage and sounded like he was standing in a field. I received 15 min total phone time in a three hour process. It appeared as if he did not read the information about the case beforehand as he did not ask or receive any answers to the questions I asked bar one . There was no mediation process really. It just involved the agency asking the landlord a question and then Steven reiterating the answer. No new dialogue was opened. I was pretty much told to accept the fact that I will have no home in a few months despite being a good tenant . Mediation does not mean that you will have someone to voice your concerns or share your perspective. They will ask the same question you have already asked ( can I stay for three more months )and tell you the answers you have already heard .

As a tenant I could not be more grateful to the PRTB for their guidance, support and the information that have given to protect me and my partner from the illegal behaviour and breach of landlord obligations we have endured by our landlord. The PRTB are incredibly helpful and have really assisted us in our dispute with our landlord. If you are a tenant who believes your landlord is violating your rights, I strongly recommend you read all the respective information documents listed on the PRTB website prior to calling them if you have follow up queries/your issues aren't explicitly answered in their free for review information on the site. The agent I spoke with, Paul G, on the phone and his colleague Sus Fitz via webchat were prompt, provided me with reliable information and have really reassured me and my partner of our rights and responsibilities and have greatly assisted us with the ongoing dispute/harassment our landlord insists on carrying out. I cannot recommend the PRTB enough. Thank you for all of your help thus far.
