I'm a landlord and over the years have had new tenants. The only time I've ever needed the PRTB is when I register them. Each time it is such a cumbersome process using their website. It's time consuming and hate wasting my time trying to figure it out. Their website is badly in need of an overhaul.

Absolute inept and rude staff. Received an email recently from them stating that I emailed someone directly there and I only used the disputes email. He was extremely rude and offensive in his language and tone. They also keep mailing me about a call when I've told them I can only do a certain time. Please read your emails properly and listen to people on the phone!!!

I lost a case because the RTB failed to forward all my evidence to the adjudicator. They obstructed me when I tried to to uncover what had happened. Eventually I won the appeal when the adjudicators had all the evidence. They still forced me to pay for the appeal even though they were at fault.
The website is slow and clunky at best and often doesn't work. The director Rosalind Carr stated years ago that it is not fit for purpose, when is she going to do something about it? Now they have started marketing it as a "One Stop Shop", more like a No Go Quango.
There is a failure of management in this organization, it needs to be made subject to the Ombudsman. The Really Terrible Board

Website really needs improving if you are taking €90 per letting you need to give a receipt and have a more sucure website that doesnt crash when making payments. Maybe the tenant should pay this then see how it works for you!

Absolutely Rubbish . Sent in an email query 27 days ago . No response . even though their customer charter says they will respond in 15 working days. Phoned again for the fourth time . Said they would get back . Days later nothing . Beyond useless . A scam to get money from landlords for registration etc.. don't hold out any hope of them actually helping you if you have a problem . I've given one star because I had to .. they deserve zero stars .

The place to refer dispute between Landlords and Tenants. The RTB has replaced the Courts for the vast majority of Landlord and Tenant disputes. If you are in a dispute with a landlord/tenant you can apply to the RTB for dispute resolution.

They were to send out the registration form by post.....this took three phone calls...eventually got form ...filled it out and sent it in only to be told that I was gone over a month into tenency and was being charged €180 instead of the normal €90

Its a legal requirement to register and then website is disastrous !!!. Just spent over an hour and a half and still unable to register tenancy. Difficult for me to call during the working week. They better not try to charge late fee as a result of poor RTB infrastructure!!
